Required educational qualification needed to join in Indian Army:- To join in Indian Army you are to go through NDA(National Defence Academy).NDA is conducted by Union Public Service Commission twice in a year. Educational Qualification needed to join in Indian Army wing is a 12th pass candidate from Arts/Commerce/Science stream.Only unmarried Indian male can write UPSC NDA entrance exam. |

Re: Required Educational Qualification to join Indian Army? The minimum qualification required for joining Indian Army as Officer is 10+2 passed from a recognized Board of Education. NDA examination is conducted by UPSC for recruiting cadets in the National Defense Academy and Naval Academy. Any 10+2 pass candidate can apply for this examination. The age should be between 16.5 to 19 years and you must be an unmarried male. The selection in the academy is based on the marks obtained in the Written Exam ,SSB and Medical examination. Those in merit will be selected for the academy. There is Technical Entry Scheme (TES) also available for those who have passed 10+2 with PCM and have scored above 75% marks in PCM. After completion of Graduation also one can join Indian Army through examinations like CDS and various Short Service Commissions. The age Limit for CDS examination is given below for different Academies: Indian Air Force Academy - 19 to 23 years Indian Naval Academy - 19 to 22 years Indian Military Academy - 19 to 24 years Officers' Training Academy - 19 to 25 years The selection is purely based on the merit and you have to perform very well in the Written , SSB and Medical examination. NDA exam conducted by UPSC in twice time in a year. Educational Qualification :- Candidate should be completed 10+2 in any stream from a recognized University. Age limit is 16.5 years to 19 years. There is no age relaxation for this exam. Candidate should be an Indian citizen. Only unmarried male candidate are eligibile to apply this exam. Re: Required Educational Qualification to join Indian Army? Hi friend.......... To join the Indian Army you can crack the NDA exam. NDA stands for National Defense Service. This exam conducted by the Union public Service Commission two times in a year. NDA - I NDA -II NDA has three wings:- Indian army, Indian airforce, Indian navy. Eligibility criteria:- The applicant should be complete 12th standard or it's equivalent from a recognized university. Percentage is not required for this exam. Applicant must be a citizen of India. The age limits are 16.5 years to 19 years and no upper age relaxation. For India Airforce and Navy you need to complete 12th standard with PCM subjects but no need for Indian army. Only unmarried and male candidates are eligible. Selection procedure:- Written exam, SSB interview, Medical test. All the best.............. |

Indian Army can be joined basically in two ways:- one after 12th through NDA and another after Graduation through CDS entrance exam conducted by UPSC twice every year. NDA - National Defence Academy - The eligible candidate must be an unmarried Indian Male having either appear for the final 12th exam or pass in any stream from a recognised Board within the age of 16.5 to 19 years with good Physical and Mental health. CDS - Combined Defence Service - The eligible candidate must be an unmarried Indian Male having either appear for the final Graduation Degree exam or pass in any stream from a recognised University within the age of 19 to 24 years with good Physical and Mental Fitness. Age: 19-25 years iii) Engineers' Entry a. University Entry Scheme This entry scheme is applicable only for pre-final year students of B.Tech. only The age limit is 19-25 years. b. Apart from UES and TGC entry there is also a Short Service Commission entry for engineers. The age limit is 20-27 years. The notification for all these entries are published from time to time in the Employment News weekly and leading newpapers. The specialization of B.Tech. required in a particular type of entry is published in the notification itself. iv) Law Graduate Enrty (JAG) Qualification: LLB/LLM with at least 55% marks. Age: 21-27 years. v) Post Graduate Entry Quaalification: M.A./M.Sc. with 1st or 2nd class. Age:23-27 years. WOMEN Women can join Indian Army after Graduation. i) CDS entry Through CDS examination of UPSC, women can apply for admission in Officers Training Academy which is a Short Service Commission. ii) Women can also apply for NCC Special Entry iii) Women can also apply for engineer entry under Short Srvice Commission. iv) Law Graduate Entry Separate advertisement for women law graduate is published from time to time. (182 cms), but according to the physical standards of Indian army given in their website corresponding to my age and height(182 cms) iam supposed to weigh only 66 kg. is this weight compatible for bodybuilders as well ? i haven't competed in any bodybuilding competitions but i intend to compete soon.. do i have chance in the defence forces?...i have a B.tech degree in mechanical engineering with 62.4 % |
