hi friend,

You need to clear Combined Defence Service Examination conducted by UPSC to get into IMA.
For date of the exam and application form details follow the the site
http://www.upsc.gov.in
After qualifying in the written test, you will be called for interview by the Service Selection Board.
For clearing this test, you should have not only bookish knowledge but also interest in current affairs, general knowledge.
Also you should develope good communication skills.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION
Bachelor's degree in any field
AGE LIMIT
19-23

I am student of BA Final year. I am 22 year old and i want to join IMA. So can i join it am i eligible for it.

Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) conduct Combined Defense Services (CDS) exam twice a year….

The recruitment is for following post: -
Indian Military Academy (IMA),
Officers Training Academy(OTA),
Naval Academy(NA) and
Air Force Academy(AFA).

Eligibility criteria :-
For IMA and OTA you must have degree in any discipline from recognized University.
Age must be in between 19 yrs to 24 years.

Selection of student in IMA and OTA is on the basis of following exam..
Written Test
Intelligence & Personality test
Medical test.

Syllabus :-

- For OTA exam :-

All the two papers are of objective type containing the
English
General Knowledge

Each paper consists of 100 marks.
Total 200 marks

- For IMA exam :-
All the three papers are of objective type containing the
English
General Knowledge
Elementary Mathematics

Each paper consist 100 marks.
Total 300 marks.

IMA Stands for Indian Military Academy, and if your aim is to Join IMA, Then for this you have to apply for CDS Entrance Examination. This examination is Conducted by UPSC, Twice in a year for the Recruitment of IMA / OTA/ Naval Academy and Air Force Academy.

If you have Pursuing your Final year Degree course, then you are eligible to apply for CDS Examination.

The Notification of Next Year CDS (I) Examination was already Published and the Online Registration process was also Started.

The last date of apply for CDS Examination : 28/Nov/2011.

If you are Interested then you can fill the application form Online, By visit the official website, You have to pay the fees through SBI Net Banking or Pay the fees direct in SBI Bank and then you are eligible to fill Online application form of CDS.

To apply for CDS Examination, your age should between 19 to 24 years (For IMA).

If you have pursuing your Final year degree course or complete your Graduation then you are eligible for CDS Examination, So please apply for this examination soon before the last date and for More Information, check the official website :
