The National Eligibility Test (NET),conducted by University Grants Commission (UGC) to determine eligibility for
lectureship
and
for award of Junior Research Fellowship (JRF)
.

The Test is conducted twice(months of June and December) in a year in Humanities (including languages), Social Sciences, Forensic Science, Environmental Sciences, Computer Science and Applications and Electronic Science like SET(State Eligibility Test).

Eligibility:
1:You should have Master Degree from a recognized University and Colleges,you can also apply for the exam if your Result Awaited category, if you are appearing or has appeared in your final year of M.Sc. or equivalent degree examination.

2:You have to secure minimum 55% of marks in your Master’s Degree OR equivalent examination
3:There is no age limit for applying for lectureship.

4:If you apply for Junior Research Fellowship ,your age should not more than 28 years.

Dear friend,

you are eligible for NET exam but your degree must be from UGC approved university.

Those candidate have completd masters degree from recogniged university are eligible for NET exam.

For general and OBC candidate must be hold 55%above in masters degree. SC/ST candidate must be hold 50% above in masters degree.

Part time course are not eligible for NET exam.

For Junior research fellowship course your age must be in between 19 to 28 years.

For lectureship ,There is no upper age limit but the Minimum age is 19 years.


NET exam is conduct because of govt college lecturer and PHD entrance.

Firstly I have to informed you that the NET Examination was conducted by UGC Twice in a year - June and December. The June NET 2011 Examination was already completed and those who have missed the chance in June are apply for the december NET.

>> NET Stands for National Eligiblity Test and this examination was conducted by UGC. So, To apply for this examination you need to complete your Post Graduate degree course in any discipline form a recognised university. So, If you have scored minimum 55% marks in your Post graduation examination then you are eligible for NET Examination.

But the december NET Examination Notification was not declared yet, So please wait for the Notification of december NET Examination, Because when the Notification was declared all the necessary information was availiable there, But Now there is no update regarding NET Examination pattern was changed or Not. If the pattern of NET December examination was changed then it will be updated in the notification.

>> So, Its better if you can wait for the Notification, the Notification of December NET Was going to be published in the month of September i.e on 26/Sep/2011 and the Examination was going to be held on 24/Dec/2011.

>> There are 3 Papers in NET Examination and All are conducted in same day in 2 session, First 2 papers was Objective and Last paper was descriptive, For descriptive paper you have to choose the optional subjects as per your Post graduation. Eligible candidates may fill the NET Application form Online By visit the UGC Website and if you want to get more Information then please check the UGC Official website -

NET stands for National Eligibility Test conducted by the ugc.

Procedure for NET Exam:

1.you can apply only through online.

2.Download the bank challan from the website
www.ugcnetonline.in

3.Fill the required information and and pay the challan in bank.

NET Exam pattern:

1.NET Exam consists three papers.

2.PAPER-I:60 questions,each question carry 2 marks,exam duration 75 min.

3.PAPER-II:50 Questions,each question carry 2 marks,exam duration 75 min.

4.PAPER-III:75 Qestions,each question carry 2 marks,exam duration 150 min.

PASSING MARKS REQUIRED IN NET EXAM:

1.General candidates must get the following marks in NET exam:

I.PAPER-I:40%.
II.PAPER-II:40%.
III.PAPER-III:50%.

2.For obc candidates:

I.PAPER-I:35%
II.PAPER-II:35%.
III.PAPER-III:45%.




3.For sc/st candidates:

I.PAPER-I:35%
II.PAPER-II:35%
III.PAPER-III:40%

hi,
the key to get success in any type of entrance exam heavy practice and stick to the basic fundamentals.
reference books like UGC-NET previous year solve question papers and objective type of question books for UGC-NET are really very helpful while preparing for the entrance exam.These are the best reference books which can help you a lot.
don't get panic,don't allow the exam pressure to overwhelm you just stay calm, prepare for the exam forget about the result or what going to happen in future only give your best shot in the exam....................you can take this as a tip for the preparation..........all the best

Paper II comprise of objective type question from selected subject.

UGC NET Exam Paper NEW pattern 2011 :

The UGC NET 2011 Test will consist of three papers. All the three papers will be held on 26th June 2011 in two separate sessions as under:
Session Paper Marks Duration
First I 100 1¼ Hours (09.30 A.M. to 10.45 A.M.)
First II 100 1¼ Hours (10.45 A.M. to 12.00 NOON)
Second III 200 2½ Hours (01.30 P.M. to 04.00 P.M.)

You can follow this new pattern and work accordingly..

This is the latest structure of paper III.
paper I

you have to answer 50 out of 60 questions in 1.15 mins.

same Paper II should answer 50 out of 50 questions in 1.15 mins.
