The entire Cost and Work Accountancy course can ideally be completed in 4.5 to 5 years.
The Cost and Work Accountancy course comprise of the following stages:
  1. Foundation Course
  2. Intermediate Course
  3. Final Course
  4. Practical Training
Now, the minimum duration to complete the Foundation Course is six months from the date of registration. Once you complete the Foundation Course, you will be able to enroll for the Intermediate Course which can be completed in one year from the date of registration. After qualifying the Intermediate Examination of the course, you may enroll for Practical Training and along with it, you may register for the Final Course which too can be completed in one year. The minimum duration of the Practical Training is three years. So, if one follows the program in the way mentioned above, the whole course will be completed in around 4.5 to 5 years. However, since one can undergo the practical training along with the Foundation Course. In such case, the Cost and Work Accountancy can be completed in three years and few months. But if you follow the course in the most ideal way as mentioned above, it will take around five years.

There are 3 stages for becoming icwa
foundation
intermediate
final
if you had passed 12th then you are eligible for foundation course.
And if you had passed graduation then you can take admission direct to intermediate.
It is minimum for 3years and after that 3 years training.

Education qualification for ICWA course:-

Foundation Course: Eligibility for Admission:

a) 17 years of age; and
(b) Passed Senior Secondary Examination under 10+2 scheme of a recognized Board

Intermediate Course: Eligibility for Admission:

(a) is not less than 18 years of age; and

(b) has passed degree Examination of any recognised University or equivalent

As you can see the The CWA course of ICWAI is divided into three parts.
Foundation Level,
Intermediate Level,
and Final Level in order.

Theoretically, duration of the three levels are 10 months, 12 months and 10 months respectively. But it may take more time because you can never move to next level if you do not qualify the previous level.
