Hi friend,

only for some branches of M.SC , B.Tech people are allowed like M.SC biotechnology , in that engineers are allowed to apply.

You haven't mention your branch of interest , but anyway for the eligibility for different branch of M.SC,you can follow following website:-

http://jam.iitkgp.ac.in

you will have great job opportunity after doing M.SC from such reputed institute so work hard and go ahead.

for any other query, please post it here.

best of luck

regards.

Hi

IIT conducts a test called the Joint Admission test to M.Sc. (JAM) to take admissions in the M.Sc, other post B.Sc programs and PH.D at the IIT's.

ELIGIBILITY CONDITIONS ::

1. A candidate must be a minimum graduate or should hold a Bachelor's degree in Science stream subjects in order to apply for this.

2. He/She should have scored a minimum 60% aggregate in the graduation to be able to apply for this.

Re: Are engineering students allowed in IIT JAM exam?

Hello friends,
is the BSc degree awarded by IGNOU recognized by the IIT's?
If one completes his bachelor in science from IGNOU, can he appear for the JAM entrance test conducted by the IIT's for admission to the MSc course.
I know that IGNOU is a UGC recognized central university and it's degrees are recognized by all the universites; however, it's bachelor degree may not be recognized by the IIT's for admission to their post graduate (MSc) courses.
Have you come across any person who has completed his graduation from IGNOU, cracked JAM, and secured admission into an IIT?
Such an example would be really inspiring and encouraging.
Looking forward to your replies. Thanks.
