Re: MBA or MCA? Best future after BCA Good to hear that you are doing MBA. It is an excellent course in the management field which opens up wide range of job opportunities for the candidates. MBA has to offer many specializations which the students can choose according to their preferences. Some institutions even offer dual to triple specialization. Some of the main specializations in the MBA programs are marketing, human resource, finance, systems, Logistics etc. The selection of specializations depends up on the aptitude and interest of the candidate. It does not have to be similar to the graduation. It is a general perception that candidates with engineering background should take IT as specialization and candidates with b.com should go for finance. There are no specifications like this. You can select which ever subject of your interest. |

Best future after BCA If you study computer science or Information technology in b.tech then you will be called as computer engineer .Top most mnc's will recruit you if you have an aggregate of 60% minimum and you will be having handsome salaries. MCA is the PG course that you do after your degree.After completing B.SC or B.com you will write an entrance test.Based upon the rank you will get a seat in college to study MCA.Even mnc's will hire MCA graduates if they have computer background ,i mean B.com or B.sc computers and later specializations in computers . |

In the past when there was only core branches like 1.mechanical 2.electrical 3.civil 4.chemical engineering branches it was referred as B.E(bachelor of engineering). *Now also there are many universities provide this. *But after the interpretation of the following branches: 1.Computer Science 2.Information Technology 3.Electronics the universities started providing with B.tech(bachelor of technology) *Many of the universities provide all the above branches under one course(i.e either B.E or B.Tech) *So not to be confused between them. *You may call them equivalent or equal at times. I am not at all interested but I still do not want to spoil my career so just help me deciding a better course other than MCA of course MBA is great but will that help my career or will I have any good job opportunities even after Mba ? |

Best future after BCA Hi dear, it's not easy for you to take decision(MBA OR MCA) but, do not worry about this i suggest you ,, first you think you like computer subjects like C,C++,JAVA,DATA STRUCTURE,UNIX, and other subjects,,, if you like then you choose MCA because it gives you potential,strong grip for your subjects .. after doing this degree you think proud for your self .... and confident ..you know some subjects very well.... you are master of computer subjects ..... If you are weak in computer subjects and not interested ... then choose MBA,, MBA market is drastically increase in these days... MBA degree is like "gold" if you have... your value is increase in society.... i think now you take your own decision... Thaks |

Re: MBA or MCA? Best future after BCA As finished your BCA course you are eligible for MBA & MCA. Both courses have their own importance. According to your query you are not good in coding part. If you go for MCA course ,here coding is very important.But present situation software boom is very less. Based on skills they will give the opportunities.Don't worry there will be a number institutes,you have to go for that and increase your coding ability. My advice is after BCA you an go for MBA.MBA have a very good scope.In present situation MBA demand will be very high. So its purely depends upon your interest. Goodluck....... |

Better letting you know about the fields the required qualifications are MCA The aspirant must have completed bachelor degree course (any discipline) moreover the aspirant must have choosen mathematics as one of their subjects in higher secondary schooling. MBA Bachelor degree from a recognised university is the required qualification . To join there are various exams conducted at national and state level. Exams like CAT, TANCET etc are conducted if you have did bca as your bachelor degree course it will be better if you choose MCA as it will make you more specialised in your degree. But if you have did any other bachelor course it will be good to do MBA as knowledge of business administration is required in many fields with MBA degree you can get into any institution but it is not the case with MCA. MCA- It deals with the technical field and you will specialize on your technical background. The selection procedure depends on the marks at your Graduation level as well as on the Entrance test. 2. MBA- You have to go through an aptitude test and interview. The exams are quite tough. It deals with the management field, not with your technical skills. So, it depends on you. All the very best. There are so many interesting and unique programs available these days like Oil and gas Mgmt, Energy Trading, Power Mgmt etc.These programs have huge takers in the job market given that you have the potential and aptitude. Being unconventional programs these are not offered by many universities in India or Asia, there is only one university UPES, Dehradun providing them in the pan Asia region. |

But as you said that you want to work in banking sector then fo rthis you will have to choose the subjects finance in MBA programme. Your BCA degree will help you in this, means actually it is a advantage of you. MBA is better than MCA programme because it has a lot of job opportunity.After BCA you will get a technical knowledge and when you join the MBA programme then this knowledge will help you in improving your skills. After doing master degree you get the vast knowledge about the computer hardware and software and then you can easily establish yourself in the IT industry. Doing MBA leads to you a different field that is administration.While doing MCA yoiu remain in you trade and get more changes to get in MNC's based on your skills. |
