yes, the fundamentals of mathematics are used in every of the subjects
it is like we play game with the numbers. generally some confuse with links connected. i.e; they miss basics. if they try to memorize then they find big difficulty in it.
see, there were many laws each working under many areas. Many mathematicians have proposed after a great work. It is to practise much of things which were unfamiliar to u. It is your thought on this . I have scored full marks in mathematics 150/150 in XII class
so, that requires to much of the practise that make u enable the things very easy

Re: Why do students find Mathematics difficult?

dear friend...

See one thing i want to tell you that it totally depend upon the student or person or directly you because if you love something then you obviously you will give some time to this person or object or subject or matter , Am i correct ??

So it's upon to that particular student, if the student has no interest on the subject then it is not necessary to that student that he/she must like this subject.
If he/she dislike this subject then he/she must like any other subject very properly and he/she should be master of that subject.

One tips I can give you that when you solve the maths problem then listen music , or give a cover to your mathematics books by you will be attracted on that book.

good luck.

Hello,

Maths is called mother of subjects because we need calculations everywhere, whether its a basic addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. Take it a science or social science, engineering, etc all required calculations and i.e maths.

I should say it depends on the individual students. Some may like it so much and some may hate it. It just needs to understand the basics. Students try to byheart the steps which made them confuse when question changes. Such practices makes it difficult to understand. Continuous practices can makes student very very strong in maths.

Maths means calculation and it is used everywhere, every moment.

Students think maths is hard. The reason is that it is quite different from other theoretical subject. In this subject, you wont get marks until and unless you know the full topic. You need to understand clearly. This makes and create a fear in the students mind.

Again, I should say it depends on the individual teacher. Here i dont want to blame teachers because teachers are our second parents and we should not talk bad about them.

A silly mistakes can make you cancel the total questions. We need to solve in time and its quite difficult if we lack practice. Consistent practice and hard work and also luck can make us to score full marks.

Thank you.

Mathematics is a suject of practice as you all know.......

its always needed to do practice in mathematics.......

so you have to give everyday some time to this subject.......

and if you will not give time or practice then obviously you will find it difficult.......

Re: Why do students find Mathematics difficult?

Why maths is called mother of all subjects?
Answer :
Because the mathematics is one of the most common subject upon which most of the subjects may depend. What ever the subject it is unless you are having good mathematics knowledge or at least fundamental knowledge, it is not possible for you to become expert in that subject.

Why the students cannot understand easily?
Answer:
In the case of mathematics, there are large number of formulas. You can solve a single problem by using number of problems. The formulas relating to particular category looks similar, unless the students are having logical knowledge regarding those formulas, they can not remember and they may use one formula instead of other one.

What is mathematics?
Answer :
Mathematics is a subject by using the various tools and formulas and calculations of which one can find answers to questions or problems.

Why the students think it is hard?
Answer:
The only reason is lack of logical thinking in understanding the given problem as well as the formula to solve that problem and also in doing the methodology while solving the problem

Why the teachers not clear doubts in the problem?
Answer:
This is the false statement which i will not agree. Most of the teachers as they are having enough knowledge they will clear doubts regarding the problems to the students. In addition they will also teach the several number of problems from various text books. Even if they are not enough to solve the problem, they will learn from some body and will try to teach to students.

Why the students not get the full marks in mathematics?
Answer:
I strongly disagree with this. Mathematics is the only subject in which you can gain full score. In corporate colleges and most of the schools we often see most of the students who scored full marks in mathematics. Only thing required to achieve this is logical way of learning mathematics and solving the problems accurately.

Re: Why do students find Mathematics difficult?

Maths is not the mother of languages, it is only the mother of sciences. This is because the study of science cannot proceed without existing and new mathematics.

Students usually find Maths difficult because they do not take interest in the subject. Unfortunately, our educational system supports the fact. Moreover, modern day formulae, calculations, indices etc. are mainly concerned with testing the capacity of the students and not their skill. Moreover, the practice Maths requires is not comparable to any of the sciences.

Students who work hard, practice regularly and are honest in their efforts do get full marks in Maths.

Like every mathematics fools , I too was a idiot in mathematics whereas my mother was the topper in mathematics all along her life . My family pressurized me in scoring in this subject but it was impossible till I entered 11th standard when i was allowed to use calculator. Now maths is interesting; technically with the calculator. What's this problem actually?
Mathematics is a subject that evolved long before the birth of any other subject.Unfortunately , from then on maths had a important role to play in the economy . The subject which emerged as a simple calculation of additions and subtractions , grew more complex as the scientific , economic, etc.fields of man advanced. Now maths is there in every fields. Technically , this is the reason why mathematics is considered as the mother of all subjects.
The peculiarity of mathematics is that it cannot be mugged up , or cannot be made applicable by understanding certain concepts but the students can learn mathematics by constant practice from the moment they start studying it and without knowing the basics they will ot be able to understand any of the concepts but they would feel it more and more boring as time passes. This is the core issue .
Mathematics is a subject involving calculations from simple to the complex ones .
The complex calculations in the subject can be easily encountered by the students if they have proper roots into this subject . Inefficient teachers are the reason behind this problem. If you don't have a proper base in the subject whether it may be the first chapters , it is going to be reflected in your marks
The sad part of this is that the teachers are not able clear the doubts properly. This shows their inefficiency and moreover, mathematics is a subject that grows forever. By becoming a teacher you have known only what to teach the students as per the texts but not beyond that. You have to continue the study throughout your lifetime . Thats when you becomes a real teacher.

Re: Why do students find Mathematics difficult?

yes maths is mother of all subjects because you know how money plays an important role in our daily life when we get up at morning onwards until night no until our life ends it plays an crucial role so inorder to count them we should know maths as for the bussiness transaction we should know maths.see maths is not a language as like other subjects it is not science it is a subject which we can have tactease .as all subjects are ariginated from maths it is called mother of all ones.

yes it is correct the student cannot understand easily as invoves some logical and meaningful related expreesion are involve in it .It can be understand by knowing the problamatic approach to solve the problem.

Mathematics is the study of the measurement, properties, and relationships of quantities and sets, using numbers and symbols.

the students think so hard mainly due to the lack of practice and interest .every time they have understand and practise it.

If the students solve the problem and write the stepwise steps they will get full marks

Re: Why do students find Mathematics difficult?

Most of the studentd find mathematics difficult all because of formulas. But actually mathematics is difficult all because of less practise. These two reasons together make maths difficult.

Students didn't understant it easily because they don't practise it again and again. Maths can never be undurstand without practice. Maths sums are not like question and their specific answeres. Even a single sum can be modified in thousands of ways just by adding or ommiting a few digits.

Maths is difficult to tackle because even if a single digit is missplaced or ommited you will get totally diffrent answere, ultimately your whole sum will not be evaluate. If the whole sum correct, your marks will not deducted. That is why studentd get full marks.

The only conclusion is that you have practise regularly, this is the only key to MATHEMATICS.

Re: Why do students find Mathematics difficult?

DEAR FRIEND,
Most common reason for not understanding maths is that there concepts are very poor.
And student didn't want to clear their concepts in the class or in the institutions fearing of their reputation.
This mistake becomes heavy load for them when they study in Higher classes.
Not only students butteacher's also don't take interest in teaching students.

Due to this Weak students are becoming more weak.

Re: Why do students find Mathematics difficult?

Yes its true that "Mathematics is the mother of all the science, commerce, and arts subjects". And student will face problem in Maths because they will face lack of interest in math particularly.

But basically its depends upon the Persons Mind. Manny students think that Maths was easy and Interesting subjects and Manny are find difficult.

But Maths requires Practice. If you are regulary keep practice of Maths Sums, then definately you didn't find problem. So, if your basics are not cleared, you can not get sucess in Maths.

So, Mathematics is hard because it does look hard and some students think it is without even trying. It will be difficult if you think it is, So Math takes practice and understanding. So, if you keep practice daily, then you will get sucess in Maths and you dont find problem, when you are solving their Sums.

Re: Why do students find Mathematics difficult?

Mathematics is called "mother of all subjects" as for every logical construction math is needed.

Mathematics is all about solving problems using formulas and sometimes it is really difficult to apply right formulae for the right problems.

According to wikipedia Mathematics is the study of quantity, structure, space, and change.

I think teachers try to clear the doubts but maximum nos. of students cannot understand what they want to say.

For getting full marks on mathematics one have to be really very accurate and accurate students always get full marks on mathematics.

all most all the student try to memories so as to get good marks . this is general tendency of every students . but maths is not a subject to memories .it needs practice and thinking skills so this may be the reason .
teachers are equally responsible because they just teach according to syllabus, they need to clarify the doubts also.

Re: Why do students find Mathematics difficult?

dear friend

i think you have great misconception about the math subject. I would like to answer your all queris one by one:
*It is not the mother of all subjects. It is the mother of subjects related to the science.
*Not every student but the students who have no good concept of math, they do not understand.
*Only those student find it hard who have no interest in math. I want to clarify that if you have interest in arts subject then it is easy for you but i have no interest in arts subject then it is very difficult for me.
*I n this question you are totally wrong as math is a marks scoring subject, if your solution is correct. If you solutionis correct then no one can cut your marks.

Thank you

Re: Why do students find Mathematics difficult?

Students find it difficult because of lack of understanding...once understood they ll find it easy... lack of understanding because of lack of practise...
mother of all subjects because used in every field...
wont get full marks because according to the scheme of valvation steps are given marks......
students find it difficult because they go to class without preparation ..go with preparation you ll find it easy......
to clear the doubts...even teachers require time to understand give them sufficient time they ll clear your doubts...Maths is just playing with numbers and using logic

In my opinion maths is the most easy subject.
If the teacher is good and all concept will clear like mineral water.
Maths is help ful in all field.
If student dont practice the question of maths then it is very tough.
Mahts is the only subject in which one can secure 100% marks in all class from begining to the higher studies.
So dont fear with this subject and practice it......

Re: Why do students find Mathematics difficult?

Oh boy you have lots of questions

Let me answer it one by one

*why maths is called mother of all subjects?
Its because Maths is such a subject which is used in all the subjects. Its considered to be universal.
My teacher used to say that
There is no physics without maths but there can be maths without physics
There are some subjects which completely depend on maths as maths is the way to solve the problems of different issues

*why the students cannot understand it easily?
Its nothing like that. But yeah maths is considered to be a tricky subject as you cant cram in this subjects. Its all about concepts and how well you use your concepts to apply to solve problems.
If you work harder and daily practice maths problems then you wont find any difficulty in understanding it.
There is also a rumour/scare that maths is a very tough subject. Ofcourse not. Frankly speaking I personally love the subject. Actually there are more lovers than haters of maths but its your thinking

what is the meaning of it?
Of what? You mean Maths ? Check this for an elaborate defination

why the students think it is hard?
The question looks similar to your previous 2 questions. Its not hard as i said before. Its just a thinking or a phobia which is spread during secondary education. If you study more of it you will love it completely

why the teachers not clear the doubts in problem?
Tell me which teacher doesnt do so? :O
You have the right to ask query to any teacher including a Maths teacher. If any difficulty pops in your mind then you raise you hand stand up and put forth your question. Its rare that a teacher will decline to solve your query
If the teacher doesnt solve your problem then take up the matter to the higher authority

why the students not get the full marks in maths?
What? Maths is the most scoring subject. Infact its the kind of a subject which students score more. In Maths the teacher has no right to cut marks until and unless you have commited a mistake in your solution unlike other subjects wherein teachers get a good chance to cut marks without reason. :P

So dont get scared of all this. Better work hard on your maths and try to get out of this "MathsPhobia" . If the problem persists then you can still try and Dont Give Up buddy...

You have to live with maths forever. So why not start loving it ?

Re: Why do students find Mathematics difficult?

MATHEMATICS, The mother of all subjects, requires an individual's 100 percent concentration to solve or to calculate correctly, people with less or partial concentration lose the correct value as they go on.. But if you see, people with good concentration find no other subject as easy as MATHEMATICS.... so your concentration plays a vital role

Maths is called mother of all subjects it is the oldest science subject and all other sciences are its subsidiaries only.

Stiudents cannot understand it because they do not have clear concept about.
A subject if you do not understand becomes tough.
So if teacher teaches the subject with making each concept maths can become the most interesting subject than any other.
Anything which you don't undertand becomes tough that the case with maths too.

Sometimes the teachers who teaches maths do not have full command over the subject and they cannot transfer their knowledge in proper way to the students.
There are instances that though a taeacher is talented and knowledgeable but could not transfer his knowleged to his pupils because he does not comes down to the level of students

students get good marks in maths oly when they attempt the question.
Its very easy to score good marks in maths than any other subject

dear friends,
Q.Why math is called mother of all subjects?
ans:-most of the subjects directly or indirectly needs a tools to solve the mathematicals problem, whether it is economics/geography or science,so it is known as the mother of all subjects.
Q.why the students cannot understand it easily?
ans.since the mathematics problem is related to the different formulla and for solving some problem we have to use the different formulla so students can understand easilydur to the formulla reason.

Q.what is the meaning of it?
ans: mathematics is a tools that is used to solve the numerical data problem.

Q.why the students think it is hard?

ans: since the mathematics problem is related to the different formulla and for solving some problem we have to use the different formulla so students think it iis hard.

Q.why the students not get the full marks in maths?
