With a B.Sc degree you are qualified to work in several government chemical industries, factories and pharmaceutical industries.

You can also join oil petroleum companies or research institutes.

But i would recommend you to go for M.Sc.

Analytical, organic or biochemistry in my opinion will be the best options for you.

Hi friend..
After your B.Sc Chemistry, you have lots of options.
You can go for higher studies as well as for job.
You can get job in both private sector as well as in public sector.

So,first I am listing the higher studies options after your B.Sc below:-
1.M.Sc in Chemistry.
2.M.Sc Drug Chemistry.
3.M.Sc Analytical Chemistry.
4.M.Sc Organic Pharmacheutical Chemistry.
5.MBA.

After your completion of B.Sc,you can work as :-
1.Chemist.
2.Lecturer.
3.Pharmacist.
4.Geneticist.
5.Lab technician.
6.Plant Biochemist.
7.Researcher.
8.Sciientist.
9.Radiologist.
10.Technical Writer.

So,if you want to go for job,you can go in these fields.
But according to me,you should complete your higher studies now to broaden your future scope.
Best of luck.
Thanks.

Re: Which are the different fields or career opportunities after BSc Chemistry?

Soon after the completion of B.Sc in Chemistry, I suggest you to pursue your Post Graduation in Chemistry related stream if you are interested to do so like
M.Sc in Physical Chemistry
M.Sc in Organic Chemistry
M.Sc in Inorganic Chemistry
M.Sc in Biochemistry
M.Sc in Medicinal Chemistry etc.

Soon after the completion of these courses, you can have jobs in various
-Pharmaceutical Companies
-Chemical Laboratories
-Hospitals
-Diagnostic Centers
-Clinics
-Biotech Companies etc.

If you want to diversity yourself, then I suggest you to go for MBA course.

Now days, many of the candidates after completion of their B.Sc in Chemistry are shifting to MBA course at Post Graduation level.

The reason for this is the plenty of job opportunities that are being provided to the candidates after completion of MBA course.

For M.Sc course, each and every university conduct its own Entrance Exam in order to give admission for the candidates.

Where as for MBA course, you should crack any of the following Entrance Exams
-CAT
-MAT
-GMAT
-SNAP
-XAT etc.

In addition, there are some state level exams that give admission for MBA course in and around various colleges of that particular state.

If you want to do MBA in Science related specialization, then the following specializations will be better choice for you
-MBA in Hospital Management
-MBA in Pharmaceutical Management

Have good preparation for the Entrance Exam and crack it.

Wish you all the best.
