hello!!

the NDA Exam is conducted by the union public service commission twice every year in the three defence services namely;

-Indian millitary academy
-Indian airforce academy
-Indian naval academy

to write this exam one needs to be fully eligible to write the exam and hence needs to satisfy the Eligibility criteria mentioned below.....

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

-The Age of the candidate should be b/w 16.5 to 19 years.

-candidates should have passed or be appearing in XII class from a recognized board .

-candidates having PCM can apply in all the three defence services

-candidates of arts ,medical and commerce can only apply for IMA.

-only unmarried male candidates can apply.....

SINCE YOUR SON HAS JUST PASSED X HENCE HE IS NOT ELIGIBLE FOR NDA.....

selection process for NDA

---written test
---physical test
---Interview
---MEDICAL Exam

since your son has passed X exam hence he first needs to do class XII exam After which he can apply for NDA.

IF Still you are in confusion then you can visit:
http://www.upsc.gov.in

however for combined defense services examination the minimum educational qualification is GRADUATION hence he first needs to complete graduation for CDSE and CLASS XII for NDA

hope this helped...............
