Re: Difference between board exam and school based exam?

Hai Dude
The difference between school based exams and board exams is that the school based exams are the internal exams conducted by the individual schools at the school level and the exam papers are evaluated by the school teachers whereas in board exams the exams are conducted by the respective board at the state or national level and the exams are evaluated by the any other school teachers.
Thank You

Re: Difference between board exam and school based exam?

Hello..

Board exams :

In board exam the question paper is prepared by the respective board, and the checking of the copies are done by the teacher appointed by the respective board.

School Based Exam :

In school based system the question paper is prepared by the school by the advice of board, and the checking of copies are done in school itself followed by the cross checking of the same board school within a city.

Hope you got it.
Good Luck..

The difference between board exams and school based exams are:

In school based exams, the papers are checked by the teachers that have taught you the subject. In board exams the papers goes to the Central board which is responsible and is conducting the exams.

In School based exams the result is published by the particular school itself whereas in board exams the board publishes the result.

In School based exams the result and the process of checking the answer scripts vary from school to school. Board based exams, there is a standard procedure which is to be followed by the teachers who are checking the papers.

The exams that you appear for till class 10 are school based exams and are local to school. These results don't affect your future as much as the exams the exams that you give in class 10 and class 12. These two exams are the board exams and whenever you apply for a job or give an entrance exams the results that you have got from these two exams matter a lot. For e.g, if you get less than 60% in class 10 and class 12 board exams then you would be ineligible to appear in most of your entrance exams.

Re: Difference between board exam and school based exam?

Hi

School exams are the internal exams which are conducted for all the primary classes and secondary classes.

The Board exams on the other hand are the 1st competitive exam which a student has to face on All India level.
Classes 10th and 12th were earlier known for the major Board exams but the 10th boards has been made optional now.

The image below would illustrate more. Please download it and check it out.

Hope this helps

All the best

HI

 School Conducted
Board Conducted
Eligibility
Students of Senior Secondary Schools who do not wish to move out of the CBSE system.
All the students of Secondary Schools and ii. Students of Senior Secondary Schools, if they wish to move out of the CBSE system.
Passing Certificate
Issued by the Board.
 Syllabus
Syllabus for both types of SA-II will be the same.
 Assessment
The assessment will be done by the school teachers of the same school.
The assessment will be done by the school teachers from outside the school.
Marking Scheme
No student would suffer because of strict marking or benefit from lenient marking as the Marking Scheme for all Question Papers in all
major subjects would be provided by the Board and teachers would be
directed to adhere to the Marking Scheme in each subject. However, to
avoid any such apprehension the Board is contemplating to undertake
moderation of marks based on marks distribution of the students in the
school as well as random verification by the CBSE of the assessment done by the school.

Re: Difference between board exam and school based exam?

The examination which is conducted by respective schools is called school based exams whereas exams conducted by different state boards or national boards are called board exams. For example the exams conducted upto class 9 in Don Bosco school is conducted by the school so its school exam and the exam for class 10 and 12 known as ICSE and ISC is board exam conducted by The Indian Certificate of Secondary Education for class 10 and Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations for class 12.
