Re: when is the civil services preliminary exam going to be replaced by an aptitude test? hi friend, As said by Minister of State in the Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions , Civil Services Aptitude Test will be common for all candidates from next year 2011 and this aptitude test is replaced by all the 23 optional subjects available today. Means you will have following sections in upcoming IAS exam:- -Aptitude section for assessing the reasoning ability of the candidates -English language skills of Class X level |

Dear friend, talks are being going on about the change of prelims exam paper of civil services exam.the total prelims paper will be replaced by aptitude paper.the decision is yet not taken but from 2011 the paper pattern may be changed. All The Best!!!! |

It was decided to replace it by the year 2010,but according to the latest news (from The careergraph ) the recommendations for replacing prelims with amptitude test is been kept hold for few years,till the recommendations are approved. So,guys there is nothing to worry,just go for prelims notifications are released in employment news dated-26.12.2009 -01.01.2010. Best of luck
