Re: How much marks are needed to pass CA CPT exam?

The Common Proficiency Test comprise of four sections.

Section A: Fundamentals of Accounting
Section B: Mercantile Laws

Section C: General Economics
Section D: Quantitative Aptitude

Section A and B comprise of 100 marks
Section C and D comprise of 100 marks

To qualify the test, as per the ICAI rules, you will need to score a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate, which is 100 marks out of 200 marks.

Qualifying Marks
An aggregate of 50% in all the papers together is required to qualify in the examination. The pass mark therefore would be 100 out of a total of 200 in all the papers together.

Is there a minimum Mark for each Subject-

The total examination is considered a unit and there is no minimum mark set for each part or subject separately.
