Re: Can a commerce student become an IPS officer? my parents says that there is no scope in arts . is it true . can i prepare for ips throughtthis stream .is it essential to keep maths for this. i'm confused. |

Re: Can a commerce student become an IPS officer? hello friend...!! ->If you are commerce Graduate candidate then you are applicable for IPS exam.Because the minimum Qualification for IPS exam is Graduation. ->IPS exam is conducted by UPSC. -> There are some criteria you have to follow for appearing in IPS exam. ->This exam is conduct through Civil Service Exam . ->Those candidate have completed graduation in any discipline from recognized university are eligible for IPS exam. ->There is no marks criteria. ->But your age should be in between 21-30years for general candidate. ->In IPS exam their is provide age relaxation for OBC candidate is 3years and for SC/ST candidate is 5 years. ->The maximum attempts for Sc/ST candidate is Unlimited. For OBC candidate it is 7 years and for general candidate it will be 5 years. ->Also you must be citizen of India. thank u..!! |

Re: Can a commerce student become an IPS officer? hello friend, IPS stands for Indian Police Service. for joining in to IPS ,you have to write union public service commission exams. that have some eligibility criteria:- **educational qualification is graduation in any stream from any recognized university. **there is no percentage criteria. **age limit:- for general candidates 21 to 30years. for BC candidates 21 to 33years. for SC/ST candidates 21 to 35years. you fulfill that eligibility criteria, then apply exams. selection process:- 1.preliminary exams 2.mains exam 3,interview. prepare well all the best |

Re: Can a commerce student become an IPS officer? Yes, if you are a Graduate you can become an IPS officer. IPS - INDIAN POLICE SERVICE, to become an IPS officer one has to appear and crack Civil Service Exam conducted by UPSC once every year. The eligible candidate must be an Indian National having either appear for the final Graduation Degree exam or pass in any stream of education from a recognised University within the age of 21 to 30 years with upper age relaxation for SC/ST candidate up to 5 years and up to 3 years for OBC candidate. The selection is through three phases:- CSAT-CIVIL SERVICE APTITUDE TEST-PRELIMINARY EXAM CIVIL SERVICE MAIN EXAM PERSONAL INTERVIEW Apart from this the candidate applying for IPS has to maintained a prescribed Physical standard. Height of the General Male should be 165cm and that of Female should be 150cm and For SC/ST Male height should be 160cm and that of Female should be 145cm. Chest of male candidate should be 85cm and that of Female candidate should be 79cm expandable to 5cm for both the cases. For more information you may log on to http://www.upsc.gov.in |

Blood pressure (High) – Age 23 – 123, age 24 – 124, age 25 –122, age 28 – 124, age 30 –125, age 32 – 126, age 34 – 127. Ear-good listening & normal ear cavity. 1000 to 4000 frequency hearing impairment should not be more than 30 decibels. Nasal- candidate should not stammer while speaking.
