I am an MA graduate in christian studies, at UNIversity of Madras which I did in correspondence, is it Ugc approved and could I write the NET SLET exam as my age is 31 am I eligible .

you must completed your MASTER degree from any recogniged university with above 55% marks are eligible for NET exam.The university must be hold UGC approval otherwise your degree is not allow for NET exam.You have completed your M.SC in chemistry through distance course . If your distance univaersity is UGC approved then you are applicable for NET exa.Even candidates who have pursued the same through correspondence will be eligible if these criteria are satisfied.candiadte for SC/ST/OBC/PH are required only 50% in masters degree.

In the case JRF your age must be between 18 to 28 years

To appear for the CSIR exam you need to be post graduate. Also the same should be from a recognised institute. You need to have secured a minimum of 55% in the same. Also you should not be over 28 years of age. Even candidates who have pursued the same through correspondence will be eligible if these criteria are satisfied.
