Re: Can i join IAF if I wear spectacles? I am in flying branch as pilot Sir, i have a normal eyesight but i am colour blind. So my question is that if i wear glasses to reduce or to improve this, then can i join IAF. I am totaly medical fit but i can't see only colours otherwise I can see clearly. Please reply... I had air pollution as my main subject of my project and I'm interested in the meteorology department of air force. I have spectacles but will that be an impediment in getting into ground staff of meteorology department? |

I am in flying branch as pilot Sir, I am an engineering graduate with 7.6 percent in eletonics and communication discipline.. but my eye sight is bit poor.. will i be allowed in technical branch in IAF after corrective surgery via AFCAT exam?? Please anyone help me as soon as possible. |

Re: Can i join IAF if I wear spectacles? I am in flying branch as pilot if you want to be a flying officer in IAF then you must satisfy the following elgibility criteria for your eyes vision... Vision Distant Vision 6/6 without spectcles. Near Vision N-5 each eye. Color Vision CP-1(ML T). Manifest Hypermetropia must not exceed + 2.00 Dsph "Myopia - Nill" and Astigmatism + 0.75 DSph. however a person who cannot manage without spectacles is not at all eligible as a flying officer... |
