Can i do that change. What institute and college give me leteral entry in b.tech secon year in this case. |

Eligibility Criteria for AIEEE In order to appear for AIEEE..a candidate must fulfill the following conditions first :- 1) You should be a 12th pass out or equivalent with 50% or above as your aggregate in Physics,Chemistry and Maths 2) You can appear for AIEEE only 3 times.. Although diploma is considered to be an equivalent of 12th and diploma candidates are eligible for appearing in the AIEEE but since you do not meet the percentage criteria..hence you are not eligible for appearing in the AIEEE.. I am really very sorry.. But you can appear for the lateral entry exam of any private institution..for direct admissions to the 2nd year of your desired college.. Except for IITs and NITs..there are numerous colleges which you can apply for in order to take lateral entry admissions.. all the best..  With Warm Regards "Nitz" |

Yes,you can appear for AIEEE exam this year.As in notification,they didn't mentioned about percentage required to appear for AIEEE exam.AIEEE stands for All India Engineering Entrance Examination.This exam is conducted by top engineering colleges to intake qualified students for graduation course. Eligibility criteria for AIEEE exam: Candidate should have complete 12th class with PCM/Arts stream from a recognized university. Candidate appearing to final exam of 12th can also appear for AIEEE exam. Diploma candidate can also apply for Aieee exam. Important dates for AIEEE-2012 exam: Last date to apply the application form is 31st Dec 2012. Exam will held 29th April 2012 (Offline mode) Exam will held from 7th May 2012 to 26th May 2012 (Online mode) For more details,then see this attachment. |

Re: Can I appear for AIEEE after scoring 47.2% in diploma? dear friend, Eligibility for AIEEE exam:- 1.Candidate must have complete the 12th in science (PCM) with 50% aggregate. For SC/ST the marks relaxation is 5%.. 3.Candidate can appear in AIEEE exam for three times in consecutive manner... As you have completed diploma course with 47.2% marks then you will not be able to appear in AIEEE exam. You can apply for lateral entry exam for BE/B.tech course. So, go for lateral entry exam.. Re: Can I appear for AIEEE after scoring 47.2% in diploma? Dear Friend To be eligible for AIEEE you should have at least 50% marks in 12th (PCM) or equivalent exam. So, you can't apply for AIEEE. As you have completed diploma in engineering so you should apply for the lateral entry in the institutions which offer the same. Some of the college/university which offer lateral entry (direct admission to 2nd year of - B.Tech. for diploma holders) are as under; Indraprastha University SLIET punjab VIT Vellore MIT Manipal Thapar University KIITS BHubneswar Apart from these state engineering entrance exams are conducted for lateral entry too in almost all states. |
