In order to be eligible to pursue Actuarial Science, you must have qualified higher secondary examination with English as one of the major subjects.
The Institute of Actuaries of India conducts entrance examination known as Actuarial Common Entrance Test and qualifying this test is mandatory for undergraduate, graduates, post graduates or any professionals.
For actuarial science, you have got to have very high aptitude for Mathematics and Statistics.
There is no fixed duration of the course and in order to become an actuary, you will need to qualify 15 papers prescribed by the Institute. The course is however, divided into four stages:
  • Core Technical Stage
  • Core Application Stage
  • Specialist Technical Stage
  • Specialist Application Stage

For more information regarding the course and Actuarial Common Entrance Test, Click Here.
