Merchant navy is one of the most demanded and challenging fields of the globe. For this you have to join a course leading to b.sc. Nautical Science or Diploma Nautical Science (DNS). There are various colleges in India offering this course. Some top govt. colleges are:- 1. T.S. CHANAKYA, MUMBAI. 2. INDIAN MARITIME UNIVERSITY, CHENNAI. 3. SHIPPING CORPORATION OF INDIA, MUMBAI. 4. D.G. SHIPPING, NEW DELHI. For getting admission in these colleges you have to appear for the entrance exam conducted by IMU,chennai and score well. Physical standards:- You have to be physically fit in all respects. Your eye sight must be 6/6 in both eyes and without ant type of eye diseases.
