Re: is vedic mathematices really useful in school books maths? Hello friend, The method used in vedic maths is completely different from the regular method. it is not that easy as people say. You need to have a strong base of maths to understand the method but once understood, it's really helpful. For eg, if you need to calculate 999 x 999, it will take a bit of time while solving it through the regular method, but with the help of vedic method, it can be solved in seconds by the following process: If you subtract 999 from 1000, you will get 001 a) 999 001 b) 999 001 subtract 001(a) from 999(b), you will get 998, write it on the left hand side. now, multiply 001(a) and 001(b), you will get 001, write it after 998 , and you have got the answer. follow the same method to calculate similar numbers and you will find that it is taking just few seconds to complete complex multiplication. |

Re: is vedic mathematices really useful in school books maths? well, pal, vedic mathematics is just an different approach to solve problems...it helps greatly in competitive exams where you have to calculate really fast , and it will impinge on your results..but, in school where you have to show all the calculations this method could be only used to check your answer and not for calculation because the examiners expect to see how you have arrived at a result |

Re: is vedic mathematices really useful in school books maths? That's nice Vedic matematics is relly very useful,you can solve even 14 digit calculation in seconds. Not everybody is a born genius in doing calculation and many a times the school education is not sufficient enough or do not teach you the simple and right ways to learn. Vedic maths unable's us in lightening fast calculation,weather it is any branch of maths. But you have required to practice more and more,dont forget practice brings perfection,without constant practice you can not utilise the profits of vedic maths. Best of luck
