Re: Which subjects should I choose for IAS Exam after completion of B-Pharmacy?

It is a good move from your side of showing interest towards IAS even though you have completed B-Pharmacy course.

Civil Services is a good choice for those candidates who want to serve the country and to handle top responsibilities.

There is no IAS Exam as you mentioned. But there is a civil services exam which is the common written exam for the candidates to be placed in any of the civil service like
Indian Administrative Service
Indian Foreign Service
Indian Revenue Service
Indian Police Service etc.

The complete selection procedure that you should crack to be placed in civil services is
CSAT Exam
Civil Services Main Exam
Interview

In CSAT Exam, the questions will be from the following categories
Current affairs
General English
Aptitude

But main exam, you have to take on the optional subject that you have chosen for Main Exam.

There are no specific pharmacy subjects in the list of optional subjects for the candidates to opt for.

However some of the optional subjects that will be a good choice for you are
Botany
Chemistry
Zoology etc.

You should have successfully completed your Graduation from a recognized university in order to be eligible to appear for this Exam.

In addition, you should be a citizen of India and the required age criteria will be 21-30 years.

Have good preparation for the Civil Services exam and crack it.

Wish you all the best.

Re: Which subjects should I choose for IAS Exam after completion of B-Pharmacy?

There is no separate Exam called IAS Exam for the candidates to be placed in IAS by cracking that Exam.

Instead, there is a common written exam by cracking which the candidates will be placed in various civil services like
-IAS
-IPS
-IFS
-IRS etc.

The selection procedure that a candidate has to go through to be placed in above civil services is by
-Civil Services Aptitude Test (CSAT)
-Civil Services Main Examination
-Interview

One has to choose 2 optional subjects while registering for this exam.

It would be better for the candidate to choose optional subjects as per your interest and the subjects where the candidate is having good subject knowledge.

As you have completed B-Pharmacy, you might be having good knowledge in Science subjects.

As per this, the following subjects will be a better choice for you
-Botany
-Zoology
-Chemistry

You can also opt for
-Management
-Public Administration if you have profound interest.

Have good preparation for this Exam and crack it.

You need to give high level of performance in the Main Exam and Interview to be placed in IAS.

So, I suggest you to put your best efforts towards preparing for this Exam.

Wish you all the best.

For any other information regarding this Exam, I suggest you to visit the official website of UPSC.
