The acronym for IPS is Indian Police Services. To join IPS, you will have to appear for the civil services examination, which is conducted by Union Public Service Commission. The eligibility criteria required for the IPS examination are prescribed as below:- * Completion of graduation in any track from any recognized college or university. * Age limit:- 21-30 yrs. * Age relaxation:- 3 yrs for OBC and 5 yrs for SC/ST contendors. * Final year contendors are also eligible. * Nationality:- Indian. * Physical eligibility:- Must be fit. Aspirant age should be Not less than 21 years and Not More than 23 years and Upper relaxation provide to Backward candidates like, SC/ST and OBC candidates . Note :- For IPS post you should also Physically as well as Medically Fit .. IPS Examination Pattern :: (Paper 1) (200 marks) consists of -Current events. -History -Geography -Indian Polity and governance -Economic and social development -and General science. (Paper II) (200 marks) -Comprehension -Logical reasoning and analytical ability -Decision making and problem solving -General mental ability -Basic numeracy(Class X level) -English language comprehension skills (Class X level) |

ELIGIBLITY FOR IPS 1.The candidate should have atleast a bachlor degree with atleatst 55% marks. 2.the age of candidate should lies in between 21- 30 years. Re: Can i become IPS officer after completing MBA? Yes, you can become an IPS officer as you have completed Graduation and pursing MBA. IPS - INDIAN POLICE SERVICE, to become an IPS officer one has to appear and crack Civil Service exam conducted by UPSC once every year. The eligible candidate must be an Indian national having either appear for the final Graduation Degree exam or pass in any stream of education from a recognised University within the age of 21 to 30 years with upper age relaxation for reserved candidate. Apart from this the candidate applying for IPS has to under go a certain prescribed Physical standard. Height:- For General Male-165cm and for Female-150cm For SC/ST Male-160cm and for Female-145cm Chest:- For Male 85cm and for Female 79cm and expandable to 5cm in both the cases. The entrance examination conducted for Indian Police Service is known as Civil Service Examination and it is being conducted every year by Union Public Service Commission. Now, apart from being a graduate, it is also important to be within the prescribed age limit which is as follows:
The notification for the examination is published on the official website of the commission as well as on all major newspapers of India. Once the notification is published, you will be able to apply online through the official website of the commission. Since the examination is conducted by Union Public Service Commission, you may refer to its official website for further information. |
