I am completed my B-pharm in shivaji university and now I working in stability control department and I am testing/analysis antibiotics, vitamins n other product also that is not related to biological product so can I eligible for drug inspector plzz plzz guide me....

I am a BPharma graduate. Is an experience in manufacturing unit compulsary for drug inpector profile or any other experience into QA or Regulatory affairs is eligible. How much experience is required, is it 18 months or 3 years.

It is the work of the drug inspector to see whether a legal standard is maintained by the medicines or not. They grade medicines by using their own technical ability. Thus they are mainly concerned with the manufacturing and distribution sector of drugs.

In order to become a drug inspector you need to have a bachelor's degree in pharmacy or pharmaceutical sciences

(OR)

You can also have degree in medicine with specializations in clinical pharmacology or microbiology.

In addition to this it is expected that you will have minimum 3 years' experience of working in some drug manufacturing company from where you have gained enough experience about the manufacturing, testing and inspection works.

APPSC Drug Inspector Exam: Your age should be between 18 and 36 years.

TNPSC Drugs Inspector Exam: Minimum age should be 18 years.

Odisha Public Service Commission Drug Inspector Exam: Age should vary between 21 and 32 years.

Graduation in Pharmacy or pharmaceutical science is essential to apply for this post. Subjects like clinical pharmacology or microbiology should be taken as optional subjects. Those who have a post graduation in similar subject area can apply. 30 years is the maximum age limit. Candidates need to have 2 years experience in drug manufacturing also. You can finally get in to this post if you are able to pass written examination conducted as part of selection for this post.

Drug inspector exam is conducted by the state government and the UPSC.


Eligibility criteria:

The candidate should be complete graduation from any recognised university with Pharmacy or Pharmaceutical Sciences or
Medicine with specialization in Clinical
Pharmacology or Microbiology and also 3 years experience in manufacture or testing biological.

You should be a citizen of india.

Age limits is 18 years to 32 years.


Selection process is based on the written test and then a personal interview will be conducted. If you are perform well in interview then you are selected for the drug inspector.
