The candidates have to clear the entrance exams conducted by the universities/colleges to get admitted into graduate or post graduate courses in genetic engineering. Some of the exams are Indian Institute of Technology – Joint Entrance Exam, All India Engineering Entrance Exams, International Centre for Genetic Engineering, JNU Biochemical Engineering and Biotechnology entrance Exam and Biotechnology Entrance Exam, Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering, All India Common Entrance Test, etc. To join the Bachelor’s degree in genetic engineering, the candidate has to complete 12th with biology, mathematics, and chemistry. The lower age limit is 17 years. The candidates can be get prepared for the entrance exam by reading textbooks or journals on the related subject. |
