Pre-final year candidates are not eligible to apply for this examination . Graduate candidates or post graduate or pass out candidates are eligible to apply for this examination . So first complete your graduate degree then apply for this examination . Those who are appearing in the final year of degree course or awaiting in the exam results may also eligible to apply for this examination .

The candidate age should be between 21 years and 30 years as on 1st august of the year of examination and Upper age limits is applicable for reserved categories .

To become a IAS Officer , the candidate need to crack the Civil Service Examination . Civil Service Exam is divided into three categories :- 1)Prelims 2)Main 3)Interview .
