To become CBI officer, you may appear for combined graduate preliminary exam, conducted by staff selection commission. To be eligible for the exam, you must hold a bachelors degree (any*stream), from a recognized university. The minimum age is 20 years whereas, the maximum age limit is 27 years with relaxation of upto 5 years for SC/ST and 3 years for OBC. so if you are from SC/St category then it is possible otherwise not. Inspector of Income-tax and Tax Assistant Posts : 18 to 27 years and 18 to 32 years in case of SC/ST candidates and 18 to 30 years in case of OBC candidates as on 01.03.2010. The Upper age limit is relaxable up to a maximum of 5 years (10 years in case of SC/ST) in the case of sportspersons with exceptional achievements and who satisfy all other eligibility conditions and who furnish the necessary certificates; Peon Posts : 18 to 25 years and 18 to 30 years in case of SC/ST candidates and 18 to 28 years in case of OBC candidates as on 01.03.2010. The Upper age limit is relaxable up to a maximum of 5 years (10 years in case of SC/ST) in the case of sportspersons with exceptional achievements and who satisfy all other eligibility conditions and who furnish the necessary certificates; |
