IBPS organizing exam in two grade i.e Bank Po & Clerical Post.

The eligibility criteria for Bank Po are as follows.........

The eligibility criteria for Clerical :

*The candidates should be 10+2 pass from a recognize university.
*The age limit is 16 - 28 yrs.
*There is a relaxation for SC/ST & OBC candidates.

IBPS which stands for The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection conducts two important exams every year to fill job vaccancies in more than 19 Public Sector Undertaking (PSU) banks which are commonly referred as government banks. The exam conducted by the IBPS is called Common Written Exam (CWE) in which around 3.5 Lakh students apply every year.

To make things easy for all the candidates, IBPS has created around 2000 exam centers in more than 200 cities in India where students can easily appear for the IBPS banking exams and get job in PSU banks.

The IBPS CWE exam has two sections:

~~ IBPS Clerk Exam

~~ IBPS PO Exam

The requirement to appear in both exams are different which I would be mentioning below so you can choose the exam which meets your qualification eligibility.

Eligibility For IBPS Clerk Exam:

To appear for IBPS Clerk Exam you need to complete 10+2 from a recognised board with at least 60 percent marks.

If belongs to reserve category like SC/ST then you need 55 percent marks in 12 board.

Age Criteria:

The age limit to appear in IBPS Clerk Exam is 21 to 28 years.

Candidates from reserve category are subject of relaxation as per the rules of central government.

Eligibility for IBPS PO Exam

The IBPS PO Exam is for Probationary Officer / Management Trainee posts in the Public Sector Undertaking banks.

You need minimum qualification of at least graduation course in any stream from a recognised university to appear in the IBPS PO exam.

Age Criteria:

General - 20 to 30 years

SC/ST - 20 to 35 years

OBC - 20 to 33 years

A 10 year relaxation is given to candidates with physical Disabilities.

Exam Dates:

Unfortunately the IBPS PO exam has been concluded recently for 2012. However you can still apply for IBPS Clerk Exam if interested. The dates of the exam are yet to be announced. There is a update that exam is delayed and pushed to October-November. The announcement of dates and admission forms would be made in August or September 2012.

At present there is no notification from IBPS on any exams being scheduled soon. However IBPS generally conducts test for same posts every six months. So you can expect a notification soon. At present banks are calling for candidates who have qualified in the previous exams. So once that process is completed you can expect a notification from IBPS. So be prepared well in advance.
