Hi, If you have already enrolled for P.hd anywhere then its very difficult to get any scholarship, because 90% P.hd scholarship are in the form of Fellowship or Memorial scholarship. Which are oganised by different Institutes and Authorities or Foundations and are meant for candidates opting through there Institutes, Universities etc..... For example:- BHU research fellowship, IISC Fellowship, CSIR JRF programs, TIRF JRF Programs, Dr. MAmmohan Singh fellowship reward, Bose Institute p.hd scholarship etc....... There is nothing that for you, means you are already persuing your P.hd in any subject and wants Financial Assistance. So, for your need there is Scholarship, Financial Assistance like- Sahun JAin Trust Scholarship for Indian Students, Jawaharlal Memorial Trust fund and few more....... But bad luck is that they had already reached there Deadlines. So, now to bare the cost of your Study either you can opt for Loan or through Teaching or any other part time job. Thanks |

Re: Scholarships for PhD students? hello friend, Phd scholarships are of different kinds according to the programs conducted by particular organizations who arrange it. You can see there are fellowship programs for the Phd students like CSIR-JRF, IISC fellowship, ABV-JRF etc.. So you can find various research fellowships in different Phd courses. Generally,Rs 16000-20000 is awarded as fellowship,but that will alone can't assist you financially. You can seek for different study loans under national or private banks. Good luck! |

Re: Scholarships for PhD students? Hello, If you are wandering that get some scholarship from any organization, and study from that money, this is not possible. The maximum amount of scholarship will be not more than 5% of you fees. The govt organization do not have any fund to provide the scholarships. Other than you will get good scholarships in private organization. |

Re: Scholarships for PhD students? Hello friend, In Phd programs,scholarships are given as honorable fellowships. There are different fellowship programs in different Phd programs like CSIR-JRF,IISc JRF etc. For getting scholarships there are processes of selection preferable candidates. It is not much easy to have those fellowships. You have to really work hard to get scholarships as competition is very tough in any university. In general, monthly scholarships are given from Rs.10,000 to Rs.25,000 to the all selected phd research students. I don't think that these scholarships can help you economically for your education. You can look for educational loans from Banks or other financial agencies. Good luck! |

Re: Scholarships for PhD students? hello friend, phD colleges in india is too low in these colleges i think tamilnadu had one college. why am saying this means in engineering field we wil approach scholarship forms from the administration and we will apply for that with relavent requirements like community certificate dhasildar sign..etc., so like wise you can contact your college administration for further details i think they can help you for scholarship.moreover if your christian many chances of getting 25,000 scholarship too..!! all the very best dude.!! |
