IES Exam Eligibility Criteria:

~The notification to conduct Engineering Service Exam is given by UPSC to recruit candidates for various posts like: Assistant Executive Engineers, Assistant Engineers etc. in various departments. Once you are able to crack this exam then you will get ample scope to flourish by promoting yourself to the highest post in these departments.

~To apply for this exam you need to have a degree in any one of the following subject:

>>Electrical Engineering
>>Mechanical Engineering
>>Civil Engineering
>>Electronics & Communications Engineering

(OR)

You can get your M.Sc degree in any one of the following subject too:

>>Electronics
>>Radio Physics
>>Wireless Communication
>>Radio Engineering

~Even students of final year are also eligible to sit for this exam.

~In order to apply for this exam your age should not be less than 21 years and the upper age limit is 30 for the general category. The reserved category students however will get age relaxation.

~Selection procedure includes written exam and personality test. 1000 marks has been alloted for the written exam and 200 marks for the personality test.

~Notifications of this exam is generally issued approximately during the first week of march and exam starts from the last week of june.

IES exam is conducted by UPSC in once time in year.

If you have completed engineering discipline in following departments then you are eligible for IES exam

1.Civil Engineering
2.Electrical Engineering
3.Mechanical engineering.
4.Electronics and Communication Engineering.

The applicant age should between 21 yrs to 30 yrs.Age relaxation is provide for SC/ST/OBC candidate.
