Re: Can an Army Officer(Permanent Commission) join Civil Services? I am a short service commission officer of Indian Army, a captain. When can I appear for civil services Examinations. And is there any relaxation in age or written exam or selection criteria? Or the process is similiar. Is there any preference for a Serving Defence candidate.?? |

Re: Can an Army Officer(Permanent Commission) join Civil Services? Yes, an officer who is already in service can join civil services after clearing the civil services exam. Educational Qualification::- Must be graduate in any stream from recognized University with minimum 60% marks. Relaxation is available of the candiadtes belond to OBC & SCs/STs. Age Limit::- You must have minimum age of 21 years and maximum of 30 years. ALL THE BEST. |

Here, I'm mentioning some of the eligibility criteria required for the UPSC Civil Services Examination. Eligibility: Educational Qualification: Must be graduate in any stream from recognized University with minimum 60% marks. Relaxation is available of the candiadtes belond to OBC & SCs/STs. Age Limit: You must have minimum age of 21 years and maximum of 30 years.
