SBI Clerk Exam Eligibility Criteria:-

~State Bank Of India is one of the largest public sector bank in India and one of the oldest too. It has its branches almost in every part of India and even overseas its network is quite strong. So needlessly to say when they publishes a notification for an examination the craze among the interested candidates becomes sky-high.

~To give this exam firstly you need to be a higher secondary passed out candidate or its equivalent from a recognized school or institution. You need to get minimum 60% of marks in aggregate at 10+2 level.

~Candidates with diploma degree will also be considered provided its a regular one and has not been done in correspondence. Its duration should not be less than two years and it should be done from a recognized institution. 60% of marks in this case as well.

~After completing your graduation also you can apply for this exam. In that case pass marks will be more than enough since the minimum percentage to obtain has not been mentioned. You can complete graduation in any discipline of your choice.

~The lower age limit for giving this exam is 18 years. It is binding on all categories. The upper age limit for general category candidates is 30 years. There is age relaxation for the reserved category candidates.

~For OBC candidates there is age relaxation of 3 years, for SC/ST candidates it is 5 years and lastly for the physically handicapped candidates there is an age relaxation of 10 years.

~To finally get selected you need to go through two stages of selection, mainly, the Written Examination and the Personal Interview session. On managing the pass marks you may be called for the interview session depending on the vacancies available and the final decision will be taken by considering the marks you have got in both the stages of selection.

~Questions for the exam will be of XII standard and mainly objective types. There will be five papers all in all of 40 marks each and it is important to score pass marks in every paper.

Please Note:- There is negative marking too. For every wrong answer 0.25 marks will be deducted from the original score.

~Scheme Of Examination:-

~You need to get 40% of marks to qualify in the exam. For the reserved category candidates it is 35% of marks. For the interview session a maximum of three people is generally called for one single post vacant.
