Re: Difference between B.Arch and B.Design?

Before clearing out that let me define the terms

Architecture : Architecture is basically overall structural design. Its mostly what you can see of the structure

Design : It is something which deals with design of small parts of the structure to make it look more beautiful.

B.Arch is a course all about architechture and you will be tought to use your creativity to design the structure

While B.Des is mainly design of a structure or a car, or a website...Its just the structure without dealing much into the engineering aspects. While B.Arch is deals mainly with engineering aspects

My Suggestion is to go for the one in which you have the aptitude. Your aptitude will rule here if you choose the right one

So make the correct choice

Re: Difference between B.Arch and B.Design?

Actually B.Arch means civil engineering and building related thing.his is only applicable for construction side. But B.Des means designing of small pin to design of a toy elephant.Product design is one of the subject in the B.Des.Every days we use things all needs a design.

All the best.

Re: Difference between B.Arch and B.Design?

hi!

In my opinion Barch. & b.design are more or less same.

Yes, of course specialisation in interior designing at the post graduate level after completing B.arch is much better than doing interior designing course at the undergraduate level.

It will increase your career prospects in terms of better job opportunity & handsome salary. You can join as a architectural trainee in company.

You starting salary will range from 10000 to 40000 per month depending upon how successful the firm

Re: Difference between B.Arch and B.Design?

Hey the basic difference is that B.Arch deals with the constructional procedure and development which is the basic of it.It mainly deals with Engineering Drawing,

B.des is mainly about designing the interior structure or the exterior structure which makes the overall structure feel good.

well umbrella,
b.arch is what you design a building with full efforts to make it more attractive.
and
b.design or interior design is what you decor a building but from inside.

both are great. but people don't choose a interior designer to come to their home and decor it as a professionalism.
I think an architecture degree would be more versatile than a degree in interior design.

WHO has gotta scope??
i must say B.arch or being a architect is more help full and interesting job or profession i have ever seen.

and yes if you opt for both of them in future one by one or sequentially, then it will be better idea.

good luck.
