Re: Future scope of Civil engineering in India? hi tuhin, civil engineering, as per me is one of few vastly scoped btech branch right now, India is suffering from many dwelling problems, as the population is going up everyday, so the need of the hour is to find new ideas for residences here also, as superpowers like USA china etc have great infrastructure so a country like India would require a good quantity of skilled civil engg. "since, very few of engg students prefer civil these days , so in future due to heavy reqirement but lesser no. of engineers ,, chances of jobs would be great in civil engineering" i hope u serve as a valuable resource of our developing country in future dont worry ur choice is great.. Opportunities exist in the public and private sectors in large numbers in all branches of design, construction and maintenance, infrastructure development in both India and abroad. Right now constructions industry is booming as there is growth in infrastructure requirement throughout the country. This is going to stay for next few decades. Scope of civil engineers lies with many developing countries in middle east, Africa, Asia where infrastructure development is picking up and Indian engineers are in great demand. Civil Engineers can find job in Government departments, private and public sector industries, research and teaching institutions etc. Job opportunities for civil engineers are expected to increase as fast as the average for all jobs, although the construction industry is vulnerable to fluctuations in the economy. Civil engineers will always be needed to maintain and repair existing facilities and structures and to construct new ones. After doing B.Tech, one can look for jobs in road projects, building work, consultancy firms, quality testing laboratories or housing societies. The experts say there is a high demand for experienced civil engineers in developed countries. Civil engineers are employed in all the major construction projects carried out by the state or central government, the railways, private construction companies, military, engineering services, consultancy services etc. Civil engineering graduates can also go in for research and take up teaching or they can open their own independent consultancy services. |

Nagarjuna Construction Company there are so many construction company in INDIA you may join in any good company if you get opportunity to join in any company. if you pass out from a reputed engineering institution of Indian then your opportunity to get good job will be more... goodluck regards vidh |

If you are interested for higher study then also you can go for GATE exam . after which you will get good scope. Job opportunity after CIVIL engineering.  this all are example of job which you can get after your study. good luck....... |

India is a Developing country and for Developing country number of civil engineer requirement is very high. after completion of B.tech from civil engineering easily you will be placed in a good civil engineering company. you may go for job or you may go for higher study. you may do M.Tech in civil engineering. after that if you are interested in research field then you may go for P.hd. there are so many construction company in INDIA you may join in any good company if you get opportunity to join in any company. if you pass out from a reputed engineering institution of Indian then your opportunity to get good job will be more. if you are interested to do civil engineering go for that. now In Indian the scope and opportunity after civil engineering is very good and in future i think it will remain in good place. best of luck. |

First: Join the CPWD of Govt of India Second: Join the private company as trainee and look forward. Now a days the Civil enginer are not known for building houses.. They are the backbone for the infrasturcture modernization. All the new roads, fly over, metro are there hardwork and contribution. But remember... no one can be sucessful untill trained properly so better to join a company like L&T.. TATA infrastructure etc and gain experiance. Remember knowbody knows who was that great Civil engineer behind the Taj Mahan... but still today it inspire others to create better and more beautiful marvel around the world.. Work your way up but measure your steps so that you can make it better for others.. |
