Hi ECE is the Electronics and Communications Engineering and it is one of the top streams of B.Tech from the past decade. Its has shown tremendous growth and development and we all have witnessed it. So if you are an ECE engineer in the making then surely its a very valid query of yours to know about the Core competencies of this field. Electronics and Communication is basically a combination of two streams, i.e ELECTRONICS + COMMUNICATION. Talking about the Electronics part, it requires A-Class Engineers as it is one of the toughest streams and hence the level of research has already reached heights. Some of the Core Electronics Companies operating in India are : -> Samsung India Ltd -> Sony India -> Hitachi -> Bluestar -> Micromax -> Champion -> Aakash -> Panasonic India -> L.G -> Philips -> BEL - Bharat Electronics Limited etc and many more... If you wish to work in any of these companies, then you have to keep your concepts crystal clear. You must hold a very good knowledge about the subjects and your awareness should be up to date. And on the other hand talking about the Communication sector it is mostly in the hands of the government. There are private companies but they all function under the government acts and rules over the communication bands allotted. Some of the core Communication companies operating in India are : -> BSNL -> MTNL -> Bharti Airtel -> Vodafone India -> Reliance Communications -> Tata Indicom -> MTS -> Aditya Idea Group You may apply in any of these companies by personally visiting their Head Office or by surfing on their official websites on the Web. If you are studying in any reputated college or university, many of them regularly visit Engineering Campuses all over India year round. So you may apply then. You can also apply Off Campus by registering on their Official websites. Please make sure your CGPA is more than 6 or your percentage is more than 60%, and there should not be any pending backlogs at the time of applying. -> Also there is no restriction for Girls. Here are some of the core companies for the candidates of ECE stream -Reliance Infocommuniations -Aircel -Spice -Idea -Connect Ping -Bharti Airtel Ltd. -Nokia -Verizon India -Tata Indicom etc. The various fields which the candidates of ECE (both girls & boys) are eligible to join are -Mechatronics -Chip and VLSI Design -Thermal plants -IT -Communications -Electronics and Hardware Manufacturing If the college in which you are pursuing or completed B.Tech course is a reputed one, then your college can bring some of these companies for campus placements. These companies may also participate in some Job melas which are being conducted in various colleges. This is also a way to attend for these companies. Some companies will conduct Daily walk ins for the recruitment of various positions. Some other companies will conducte walk ins for a consecutive of 4 days. you can also surf the official websites of these companies to know the avaialble job positions in those companies and you can send your resume to the respective of HR of the company.
