For Joint research Fellowship, awarded by university grant commission, you will have to qualify the national eligibility test for lectureship conducted by them. To be eligible for it, you must have scored a minimum of 55% marks in your masters degree examination. JRF is awarded to meritorious students who have applied for the same while applying for the NET. The maximum age limit to be eligible for JRF is 28 years for candidates belonging to general category and 33 years for candidates belonging to Sc/St category.
