Yes , You are applicable for CDS exam because you have completed B.Sc degree from CMJ university . CMJ university is approved bu UGC .


The details of CDS exam is given below-

CDS stands for Combined Defence Service . UPSC Conduct CDS Examination for twice in a year .

IMA (Indian Military Academy) : You have to complete your Graduate degree course in any discipline from a recognized University and your age should between 19 to 24 Years.

Naval Academy : You have to complete your Graduate degree course with Maths and Physics as a compulsory Subjects and your age should between 19 to 22 Years.

Air Force Academy : You must have to complete your Graduate degree course with Maths and Physics as a compulsory subjects and your age should between 19 to 23 Years.

OTA (Officers Training Academy) : You have to complete your Graduate degree course in any discipline from a recognized University and your age should between 19 to 25 years.

CDS stands for Combined Defense Service Examination. This exam is conducted by the Union Public Service Commission. You can give this exam twice a year. Girls are allowed to give only apply for the Officer's Training Academy.

You can enter the following academies by giving this exam:-
  • Indian Military Academy
  • Naval Academy
  • Air Force Academy
  • Officer's Training Academy

01. Date of Notification: 25.05.2013

The cost of application fee for General and OBC candidates is Rs. 200. SC/ST/Female candidates need not pay the application fee.

CDS Eligibility Details: Union Public Service Commission – UPSC has conducts written examination yearly twice the names are CDS I and CDS II. The Union Public Service Commission Combined Defence Services Examination (II) eligibility criteria is given below…

Nationality: Must be a Citizen of India.

Age Limit:

(i) For IMA: Unmarried male candidates born not earlier than 2nd July, 1989 and not later than 1st July, 1994 only are eligible.

(ii) For Indian Naval Academy: Unmarried male candidates born not earlier than 2nd July, 1991 (2nd July, 1989 in case of NCC Naval Wing ‘C’ Certificate holders) and not later than 1st July, 1994 only are eligible.

(iii) For Air Force Academy: Unmarried male candidates born not earlier than 2nd July, 1990 and not later than 1st July, 1994 only are eligible.

(iv) For Officers’ Training Academy (SSC Course for Men): Male candidates (married or unmarried) born not earlier than 2nd July, 1988 and not later than 1st July, 1994 only are eligible.

(v) For Officers Training Academy (SSC Women Non-Technical Course): Unmarried Women, issueless widows who have not married and issueless divorcees (in possession of divorce documents) who have not remarried are eligible. They should have been born not earlier than 2nd July, 1988 and not later than 1st July, 1994.

Educational Qualification:

(i) For I .M.A. and Officers’ Training Academy: Degree of a recognized University or equivalent.

(ii) For Indian Naval Academy: Degree in Engineering for CDSE and Degree in Engineering or B.Sc. (with Physics or Mathematics) for NCC entry.

(iii) For Air Force Academy: Degree of a recognized University (with Physics and Mathematics at 10+2 level) or Bachelor of Engineering.

After completing your graduation in any stream you can apply for the CDS exams. As you have completed your B.Sc., now you are eligible for CDS. CDS stands for Combined Defense Service, this exam is conducted by UPSC.

Eligibility Criteria:

1. Candidate must be graduate in any stream from recognized university

2. Age Limit should be between 19-25 years.

3. Candidate must be unmarried and citizen of India.

CDS(Combined Defence Service) exam conducted by UPSC twice every year.

The eligible candidate must be an unmarried Indian National having either appear for the final Graduation Degree exam or pass in any stream from a recognised University within the age of 19 to 25 years with good Physical Fitness.

Here are the eligiblity criteria:-

(a)You should be a citizen of india.

(b) Age Limits:-

[for IMA-unmarried you should not born not earlier than 2nd January, 1988 and not later than 1st January, 1994]

[for Naval academy unmarried you should not born earlier than 2nd January, 1991 and not later than 1st
January, 1994]


(c) CDS Educational Qualifications :

1. For I.M.A. and Officers’ Training Academy :-

{Degree of a recognised University or equivalent.}

2. For Indian Naval Academy :

{Degree in Engineering for CDSE and Degree in Engineering or B.Sc. ( with Physics or Mathematics ) for NCC entry}

Graduates with first choice as Army / Navy / Air Force are to submit proof of graduation provisional certificates on the date of commencement of the SSB Interview at the SSB.

CMJ University is a full fledged University of Shilong and established by Government of Meghalaya under the provisions of CMJ Act 2009. CMJ University is notified by UGC as State Private University u/s2(f) and empowered to award Degrees as specified by UGC.

Hence you are eligible to sit for CDS exam after completion of B.Sc. course of CMJ University.

CDS(Combined Defence Service) exam conducted by UPSC twice every year for entry in to Indian Military Academy, Naval Academy, Air Force Academy and Officer's Training Academy of CDS.

The eligible candidate must be an unmarried Indian National having either appear for the final Graduation Degree exam or pass in any stream from a recognised University within the age of 19 to 25 years with good Physical Fitness, is eligible to apply for CDS.

As you are a Science Graduate and if you have studied Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics in Graduation, you can apply for all the four wings of CDS. Otherwise without the above subjects you are only be eligible to apply for IMA and OTA of CDS.
