Re: What shall I do to become an IAS Officer after completion of 10th Class?

Dear Friend,

I am happy to see your interest towards your dream of becoming an IAS Officer.

But my dear you cannot become an IAS Officer just after completing your 10th standard.

You can become an IAS Officer by cracking the Civil Services Examination but for this you have to first appear in the Civil Services Examination.

As this examination is the one of the toughest examinations which is conducted in three phases and you have to crack all the three phases examinations in order to become an IAS Officer.

So , In order to appear in the Civil Services Examination , you should have the following qualifications :

a) You must have completed your graduation in any discipline from any recognized college/university.

b) Your age should lie in between 21-30 years.

c) There is relaxation granted in upper age of 3 years for those belonging to OBC category and of 5 years for those belonging to SC/ST Category.

d) You must have Indian Citizenship.

e) Number Of Attempts -

* For General Category : 4

* For OBC Category : 7

* For SC/ST Category : No Limit

So , i advise you to first complete your graduation on a good note considering the other eligibility criteria too and start your preparation right after 12th so that you can have better chance to crack the examination.

This is the information i have to the best of my knowledge regarding your query. Hope the information will help you to the extent you want.
