Tilak Maharashtra Vidyapeeth (TMV), Pune was established in 1921 and accredited by NAAC with B+ grade and The Vidyapeeth was UGC, DEC, BCI, NCTE approved by the government of india, The Vidyapeeth was awarded the status of a Deemed University in Since 1987 (As per Section-3 of UGC Act 1956 vide Notification No. F.9-19/85-U-3 dated 24th April 1987 by the Government of India) It is currently a member of the Association of the Indian Universities (AIU) and Receives Financial Assistance (RFA) from the University Grants Commission The University is provides some facilities like Well equipped physical infrastructure, Eco friendly environment, Library with networking, Spacious computer lab Internet connectivity, Language Lab, Inhouse Sports Depth., Hostel Facility. |

So does this means that there is no value for my graduation degree? And eligible for higher education in other university and jobs in central and state government sectors. And as per law AICTE is not mandatory for colleges having status of deemed/statutory/central university or IITs and IIMs. AICTE is only mandatory for affiliated colleges and nor for universities itself!! However all universities are open For verification by AICTE. And if found not working well AICTE can submit their report to UGC and MHRD to take action. In other words UGC recognized universities are by default recognized by AICTE. Both AICTE and UGC are Apex body of Government of India.MHRD Tilak Mahashtra Vidayapeeth is listed as ' Institutions of National Importance' in AICTE website. In recognition of the fundamental contribution made by the University in the fields of Sanskrit, Ayurveda, Social Sciences and Distance Education, the University was awarded the status of a Deemed University in the year 1987 by the government of India. For your kind information AICTE has no special powers to recognize or d recognize University or University Department, AICTE Act is Applicable only to Colleges and Not to The University You should know what is the difference between a COLLEGE and UNIVERSITY status. In colleges also IITs and IIMs are Exception to AICTE However the standard of education at IITs and IIMs and UGC recognized Universities is mentioned above as specified by AICTE Please Read the Education Policy Of Government of India 2005 to know more. |

It is only mandatory for colleges which are affiliated to these universities However AICTE has right to cause inspection in any of the above specified university or institution. In other words these educational UNIVERSITIES/INSTITUTES are by default recognized by AICTE. Note: AICTE is only mandatory if these university are outsourcing their courses such as (MBA, BE/B.Tech ..etc) to affiliated colleges. and not if these courses are run by university at their own campus. And for your kind information TMV is listed in AICTE website under category 'Institute of national Importance' Education>Institute of national Importance> Universities>Deemed Universities |
