VAO Exam Details:-

## To give the VAO Exam you need to be a 10th pass out. Even if you have higher qualifications it will be considered only when you have the SSLC certificate to show.

## The minimum age limit for giving this exam is 21 years. The upper age limit gor general category candidates is 30 years.

## There is age relaxation for the reserved category candidates. For SC/ST and other such candidates the upper age limit for giving this exam is 40 years.

## On getting selected you will be posted in the villages of Tamilnadu. You need to be well versed in Tamil therefore since their local language is Tamil.

## You can give the exam if you dont know the language. But in that case you have to give Tamil language exam which is also conducted by the TNPSC.

## Selectors expects that only physically fit candidates will sit for the exam. Therefore you have to show them medical certificates to prove your fitness during exam time.

## Selection is based on the written exam. Other factors associated are the district chosen by you and the number of reservations of the district in question.

## For the exam questions will come from the following sections: General Knowledge and General English/General Tamil. First paper is bilingual and second paper is optional.

## Questions will be of SSLC standard and you will get only three hours to complete the whole paper. 200 questions will be there to solve and to qualify you have to get 90/300.

## Cost of the application form for the general category candidates is Rs. 125 and for reserved category candidates it is Rs. 50.

## Notifications for this year's exam was published in June. Exam is due in September and in the month of November the results will come out. By December the interview session will start.
