Re: How can i join IMA if I am a student of class 12th(PCM)? IMA - Indian Military Academy can be joined by appearing through CDS(Combined Defence Service) entrance exam conducted by UPSC after completion of Graduation. But as you are student of class 12th with PCM, you are eligible to apply for NDA(National Defence Academy), the entrance exam for which is conducted by UPSC twice every year as NDA-I and NDA-II for entry in to Indian Army, Navy and Air Force wing of NDA. The eligible candidate must be an unmarried Indian male having either appear for the final 12th exam or pass in any stream from a recognised Board within the age of 16.5 to 19 years with good Physical and Mental physique. The NDA can be applied through on line by paying requisite fee for the exam. The selection is through written exam followed by personal interview along with physical Fitness and Medical Test. |

 Yeah you are eligible for indian army through NDA(National Defence Academy). NDA exam is conducted by the UPSC(Union Pubic Service Commission) twice in every year i.e NDA-I and NDA-II. NDA has three wings:- Indian navy, Indian army, Indian airforce. Eligibility criteria:- ***The candidate should have to complete 12th standard from a recognised state or central board. ***The candidate must be a citizen of india. ***Candidate must be physically fit. ***Age limits are 16.5years to 19 years, and there is no age relaxation. ***Only unmarried male candidates are eligible i.e girls are not eligible. Re: How can i join IMA if I am a student of class 12th(PCM)?  Hi!!!!!!! Friend,,,!! Its sounds good that, you want to serve the nation,which is really appreciable,. As you want to join IMA(INDIAN MILITARY ACADEMY) DEHRADUN , you must have to clear the NDA(NATIONAL DEFENCE ACADEMY) EXAMINATION, conducted by the UPSC (union public service commission) every year for twice. Through this NDA examination, one can apply for the INDIAN AIR FORCE (IAF),NAVAL ACADEMY (NA), & INDIAN MILITARY ACADEMY (IMA). For being eligible for the IAF & NA , you must have 60 % in 12th board examination, with the subjects PHYSICS & MATHS. Otherwise, you can only apply for the IMA. So,There is no minimum percentage is required to apply for this examination. Exam pattern-  Physical eligibility-   Age limit- 16.5-19 years all candidates. Notification-  You must have Indian nationality with marital status unmarried. Thank you!!!!!! ~gamble~ |

Only unmarried male candidates between the age of 16.5 to 19 years are eligible for this examination. There is no minimum percentage is required to apply for this examination. If you are Interested to Join Army wings then you can apply for NDA Examination. The notification of NDA(I) Examination is going to be published soon in the month of December and eligible candidates may fill the application form online. The examination is objective with Negative Marking and you have to prepared for this examination as per the pattern and syllabus. There are two papers in this examination and both are objective. Please prepared well for this examination and then apply for NDA. If you are Interested to Join IMA, then please complete your Graduation and then apply for Combined Defence Academy examination, this examination, this examination is also conducted by UPSC, twice in a year and your age should between 19 to 24 years.
