SCRA (SPECIAL CLASS RAILWAY APPRENTICE)

As the age limit for this examination (SCRA), which is conducted by the UNION PUBLIC SERVICE COMMISSION (UPSC) every year, is 17-21 years only., So I think only 12th & undergraduates(still graduating) candidates are eligible for this examination,.....
Also there is age limit relaxations are also applicable for the OBC & SC\ST\PD candidates ,of 3 & 5 years respectively.

As the minimum educational requirement for appear in this examination is, you must have PHYSICS ,CHEMISTRY & MATHS in 12th.
so, under this age limit , & having this educational qualification, every candidate can apply in this examination, conducted by UPSC(UNION PUBLIC SERVICE COMMISSION).

Re: Who can apply for SCRA Exam between Graduates and Undergraduates?

Dear Friend

The term 'Graduates' stands for those, who have completed their bachelor degree.

The term 'undergraduates' stands for those, who have completed 12th and are
undergoing a bachelor degree. The term Undergraduate indicates that the student
is going to be graduated after completion of the course which he/she is doing.

Who can apply for SCRA?

The eligibility criteria is as under;

Age:
17-21 years
3 years relaxation for OBC (non-creamy layer) candidates
5 years relaxation for SC/ST/PD candidates.

Education:

Passed 12th (Maths + Physics/Chemistry)or equivalent from some recognised board with first or second division.

Also, B.Sc. (Maths/Physics) are eligible to apply for the exam.

Kindly refer the last year SCRA advertisement for complete details about the eligibility criteria.

The advertisement is attached with this message.
