Even if some university is offering it, I think it may not be recognised by bar council of India for registering yourself as an advocate |

Hi ,Sir i did my B.A psychology in Shridhar university and same university i did MBA IT but B.A its not semester wise yearly wise marks card for B.A and MBA . There are option by which you can opt for the law courses through the correspondence, but before you head for the course, it is important that you need to be aware that according to the BCI, correspondence Bachelors in Law is not authorized to practice regular. But there is no point pursuing such degrees if you wish to practice in the court as lawyer. The reason is that bar council of India does not recognize any distance education degree for law course. Therefore such degree holders can not practice in court. If you intention is only to have LLB degree or want to work as legal expert for some firm then it makes sense to pursue distance education degree. Otherwise I don't see the point. With distance education degree, you can't register with Bar Council of India, neither you can practice or apply for government job. To make it simple, it is completely useless if you want to become full time lawyer. So the obvious choice for you would be to pursue LLB but only through regular mode. Although most colleges in India have now shifted to BA LLB there are still plenty of colleges that offer LLB course including Delhi University and Banras Hindu University. You should meet the following criteria to apply for LLB. 1. A graduation degree in any discipline. 2. At least 45 percent marks in graduation. 3. SC/ST candidates will need 40 percent marks. 4. The age limit for General/OBC candidates is 30 years. 5. Age limit to apply for LLB for SC/ST candidates is 35 years. |
