Hi,

MBA stands for Master of Business Administration. It is a two year long post graduation course which can only be taken after completing graduation. Since you have completed B.Sc in IT, I would suggest that you take up MBA in IT as your post graduation course.

After completing MBA your role will shift to management where you will be taking decisions for the IT firm rather than working as software developer etc. Since you have two years experience of working in the IT field, it's all gonna add up when you will apply for the job after completing MBA.

Now to pursue Master of Business Administration you will have to first clear a entrance exam.

CAT

MAT

XAT

IRMA

IIFT

SNAP

IBSAT

NMAT

GMAT

Generally the first preference of the candidates is Common Admission Test (CAT). It is because the most prestigious universities in India, IIMs accept candidates on the basis of CAT score.

Eligibility

1. A graduation degree from a recognized university.

2. At least 50 percent marks in graduation.

3. SC/ST candidates need 45 percent marks.

The other popular exam is Management Aptitude Test (MAT). It is widely accepted throughout the country. There is no percentage requirement for MAT which is the reason for its popularity. All you need is graduation degree to appear for it.

Xavier Aptitude Test (XAT) is also your ticket to some very prestigious universities in the country. On the other hand if you want to pursue MBA from abroad then GMAT is the exam for you.
