Re: Can i appear in gate exam after BE from IME? To appear for Gate exam the minimum eligibility required is B.Tech. If you have completed your b.tech you can write the entrance exam of Gate. Gate is a complicated exam one need to work very hard to get seat in IIT's. It is easy to qualify in the gate exam but getting seat in IIT's is very tough job. If you have got seat in any IIT's there is a good scope in future. You can get high pay i.e 50,000 to 100000 rs per month. There is a good scope in the future for the candidates who have finished M.Tech. They have many opportunities in MNC companies and can work as lecturer in engineering colleges and also can work in many more software companies. All The Best.... |

Re: Can i appear in gate exam after BE from IME? dear friend, Eligibility of the GATE: 1: You should have a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Technology or Architecture or Pharmacy of 4 years after 10+2. 2: You can also apply if you are in the final or pre-final year examination of the Master Degree. or 3: You have to be a Master degree holders in any branch of Science like Physics,Chemistry, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Applications etc.... 4: You can also apply if you are in the final or pre-final year examination of the Master Degree. Re: Can i appear in gate exam after BE from IME? IME is the Institution of Mechanical Engineers is one of the Engineering institutions in India and it basically deals with the Mechanical Studies. Now once you have done your B.Tech from this college, you want to apply for GATE. GATE - Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering is an exam which is conducted by the IIT's every year to select candidates for the courses of M.Tech in various streams in various IIT's, NIT's, and other colleges all over the country. The Basic Eligibility Criteria to apply for GATE is that you must be a B.Tech/B.E in any stream from any recognized college or university. Since you are, so you are surely eligible to apply for the GATE. This year the registrations for the same have been closed, but there are not limits to the number of attempts you take, or age. Re: Can i appear in gate exam after BE from IME? Dear pal, The eligibility required for appearing in the GATE exam are 1. The aspirant should have completed bachelor degree in engineering. Final year aspirants are also eligible for appearing in the exam. There is no age limit for appearing in the exam further there is no restriction on the number of attempts one can appear for the exam. You can make use of the GATE score for admission into the masters degree in engineering. In addition the score is valid for two years. There is no need for special coaching for GATE exam as the syllabus for the exam includes those subject which is studied by the aspirant during bachelor degree course. If you have prepared for semester exam well understanding the concepts then you can easily crack the exam. Refer previous year question papers to know the nature of questions appearing in the exam. Mostly they are from the basics and they can be solved easily. |

Candidate's of final year can also apply for exam. Candidate of 3'rd year are not eligible for exam from this year on ward's. Candidate must be Indian citizen. No age limit for exam.
