Re: Required qualifications for Automobile Engineering? HI ELIGIBILITY FOR Minimum 60% marks from recognized university/ Board. Age should be above 17 year. ST/SC candidate is 5% relaxation. You can sit for various entrance exams in India like IIT JEE, AIEEE, DCE, WB JEE, etc.. |

Re: Required qualifications for Automobile Engineering? Hi friend............ Automobile Engineering: Eligibility & Selection ] Eligibility for B.Tech / B.E courses is 10 + 2 with Science. Selection requires required percentage of marks in Science subjects as specified and to qualify through engineering competitive exam. Duration of the course is 4 years. For Dual Degree it is 5 years Eligibility for M.Tech / M.E courses is B.E / B.Tech (Automobile / Mechanical / Mechatronics / Electrical). Selection requires candidates to qualify through engineering competitive exam. Work Experience will be given preference. Duration of the course is 2 years. Even degree holders in electrical or mechanical branch can go in for specialization in automobile engineering at the postgraduate level. Job Opportunities These are with vehicle manufacturing and assembling plants in both private and public sectors, in maintenance and service stations, private transport companies and defense. Auto engineers are employed by state transport undertakings and insurance companies. Self-employment is also possible in setting up automobile garages or maintenance workshops. Re: Required qualifications for Automobile Engineering? To do automobile , you have to join a bachelor course in Automobile engineering in an Engineering college . For doing that the minimum qualification is 12th or its equivalent . You should pass 12th standard and your age should be 17-25 years . Then depends on the college you choose their requirements will be there . To get into prestigious IIT's or NIT's you have to clear IITJEE or AIEEE . And for state level colleges , you have to write the engineering entrance exam of that state . All the best |

Re: Required qualifications for Automobile Engineering? i am a commerce student, completed my 10 2 in a renowned christian brothers institute. i am very much passionate about cars and have a great interest in automobile engineering. but unfortunately i had left science in 8th standard only and had chosen commerce. rite now i am very much confused as i have given my isc boards and this is the turning point of my life where there are two diversions. on the first path i always keep automobile engineering and on the other hand i have commerce stream open for me in which i have got no interest at all. so it is a kind request to u guide me and suggest me. thank you |

You should have studied Physics, Chemistry and Maths in you 10+2. 2.) You must have secured at least 60% aggregate in your board exam from a recognized state board. 3.) Then you can sit for various entrance exams in India like IIT JEE, AIEEE, DCE, WB JEE, COMED K etc.. 4.) Once you clear any one of the above exams, then according to the rank you get, you may choose Automobile Engineering in the college you qualified for. Good luck. Take care. |

For getting into the engineering field one can get through different process. The different ways available are through entrance exam and by counselling conducted by the state government and the admission is based on the marks secured by the aspirant. The eligibility for the exam include 10+2 qualification with mathematics, physics and chemistry as subjects aspirant with diploma qualification from university recognised by aicte can also apply. There is no special requirement for appearing in the exam one need to have the basic requirement for then engineering degree. Automobile is a good course but it is available only in few institutions and so the seats are limited |
