Re: Procedure to join Indian Navy after BCA? yes you can join Indian navy under Short Service Commission but you need to have a first class degree.you are eligible to join the logistics department of Indian Navy. The minimum eligible age is 19 1/2 years and the maximum age limit is 25. The physical requirement:-- Minimum height of 157cms for men and 152 cms for women with correlated weight. should not be color blind. |

Re: Procedure to join Indian Navy after BCA? As you have completed your engineering the direct entry scheme to Merchant Navy is suitable for you. The students must complete their 12th with PCM are eligible to join the Merchant Navy as a Deck Cadets. The applicant with a B.E or B.Tech in Mechanical, Electrical, or Technology Engineering can join the Merchant navy as an Engine Cadet, Fifth Engineer or as a Junior Engineer. The Direct entry Deck Cadets have to go through a basic pre-sea training. This is mandatory to all the candidates. This training is organized by the recruiting company itself. These Engineering cadets are required to do Pre-sea course which is for 9 months duration. These courses are offered in different Marine Engineering institutions by the MERI. |

Useful posts by our honourable members, I'd like to emphasize just a few more points: Candidates should be able to hear a forced whisper in both ears individually from twenty feet away. Moreover, the candidate should be able to clearly resolve red and green dots from a distance of 20 feet. The candidate should also have an eyesight preferably not worse than "6/6 minus 2". |

Re: Procedure to join Indian Navy after BCA? hello dear, You can join Indian Navy after complition of graduation or its equivalent degree with 60 % marks by the government recognised university. The age limit for short service commission for women is 19 1/2 years to 25 years, height required is 152 cms and weight according to height and weight. You must be physically fit and eye sight should be 6/6 . No colour blindness. Try you will get success. all the best. |

Re: Procedure to join Indian Navy after BCA? hi, after B.C.A. you go in Navy in very scheme like as:- 1 U.E.S.(in this scheme you go in navy technical line), 2 c.d.s.(in this scheme you give exam and clear exam and you calling for ssb through navy). it's both scheme is very simple.so take easy.best of luck. |

With a fist class degree in BCA, you will be eligible to join through the Short Service Commission in the logistics department. To join indian naby you have to give exam conducted by indian navy. there is a recruitment going on for logistic cadre in indian navy. and the last date for applying is 27th December. 1.you are eligible for CDSE exam(combined defense service) 2.Buy a UPSC examination form in the month when CDSE exams are gonna published in leading employment newspaper. 3.after having this form fill it properly and fill it with air force section. 4.give the CDSE exam , try to score maximum 5.the results will be out 1 - 2 months after the exam. 6.go for SSB(service selection board) 7.selection will be on criteria basis. 8.get selected there. 9.should be medically fit. 10. now wait for the results in merit. 11.if you name will be there then you are now a flying officer. 12.but before this you have to go for training...they will notify you.. just wait don't worry .. good luck. |

For entering into Indian Navy after graduation one should have a degree in engineering field. However, You can join Indian Military Academy, Officers Training Academy and Indian Air Force. For Indian Air Force one should have Physics and Mathematics in his/her 12th. The procedure is Combined Defence Services conducted by UPSC.
