Re: Can I fill the form of NDA if I am from commerce stream? Yes you can fill the form for NDA exam even if you have Commerce stream in 10+2. There are three wings in NDA which you can select for the service you want to join. These wings are:- >>Indian Army. >>Indian Airforce. >>Indian Navy. For selecting Air-force and Navy wings you should have belong from the science stream with Physics and Mathematics. But as you do not have Physics and Mathematics and you do not belong from the science stream ,thus you can only apply for the INDIAN ARMY wing. The eligibility you will required for appearing in this exam are:- >>You must be 10+2 pass out from recognized board/university. >>Your minimum marks in 10+2 should be 70%. >>English should be your compulsary subjects. >>In English you should have 60% in class 12 as well as in class 10. For you the questions will be asked from the following sections:- >>Reasoning. >>Numerical Ability. >>English Grammer. >>General Knowledge. |

Dear Friend, Yes,you are eligible for NDA (National Defence Academy),but you can only apply for Indian Army because only science stream students are apply for Naval Academy/Indian Air force.The NDA entrance exam has conducted by The Union Public service Commission. Eligibility: 1.A candidate must be a citizen of India. 2.Age limit Between 16 1/2 to 19 years. 3.Only unmarried male candidates are apply for NDA entrance exam. 4.The candidate must have pass +2/equivalent exam in any recognized Board/University. |

Re: Can I fill the form of NDA if I am from commerce stream? hai, Yes you are eligible for NDA and you are eligible to the Indian Army. This indian army is one of the wing in NDA. Indian air force and Indian Navy is other wings in NDA. Indian air force/Indian Navy is for Science steram.  NDA details: NDA examination is a way to Join Defence just after completing his Intermediate examination, those who are interested to Join Army, Navy and Air force wings may apply for NDA Examination, this examination is conducted by UPSC, two times in a year. This Exam is Conducted in three wings: 1.Indian Army 2.Indian Navy 3.Indian Air Force Eligibility criteria:- The candidate should be complete 12th standard from a recognised state or central board. Male unmarried candidates only eligible. The age limits are 16.5years to 19years. NDA exam Pattern:  all the best........ |

They are : SCIENCE, COMMERCE & ARTS As you have said that you have taken up Commerce stream in 11th and 12th and have studied the commerce subjects, I must tell you that YEAH SURE YOU CAN APPLY FOR THE NDA Examination.. NDA - National Defense Academy. This is an All India Entrance Examination conducted by the UPSC (Union Public Service Commission) every year for the recruitment and in take purpose for the 3 wings. So a lot of candidates apply and sit for this exam. If you wish to sit, you should be a minimum 12th passed/appeared candidate who is unmarried and male. Age should be between 16.5 to 19 years and physically and mentally fit. There is another thing to which I want to get your attention to. Commerce and Arts students can ONLY apply for the ARMY wing of the NDA, whereas the Science candidates can apply for ANY of the 3. Now if you see that you are eligible for the NDA, then Please Click Here to apply for it. Note that the notification is still not out. You have to wait for it. But you are eligible for only Army wing, because for airforce and navy wings science stream (i.e PCM subjects) students can only eligible. NDA(National Defence Service) exam is conducting two times in a year by the UPSC(Union Public Service Commission). Eligibility criteria: The candidate should be complete 12th standard or equivalent from a recognised board.. For this percentage is not required to appear NDA exam. Final year appearing candidate should also be eligible. Age limits is 16.5 years to 19 years. The candidate should be a citizen of india. You must be physically fit. Important thing: Only unmarried male candidates are eligible. Girls are not eligible for NDA. UPSC conducts entrance exam for NDA(National Defence Academy) twice every year for entry in to Indian Army, Navy and Air Force wing of NDA. As a candidate from Commerce stream you are only eligible to apply for Indian Army of NDA. Besides you must be an unmarried Indian male having eiher appear for the 12th exam or pass in any stream from a recognised Board within the age of 16.5 to 19 years with a good Physical and Mental health in order to apply for Indian Army of NDA. The selection is through written exam followed by personal interview along with Physical Fitness and Medical Test. If you are interested, you can apply for ongoing NDA-II 2012 exam, registration process is going on till 04.06.2012 followed by exam on 19.08.2012. If you are string in Mathematics and English then you can definitely crack the NDA exam. Also you can prepare well GK portion.For English and mathematics your study books are sufficient.For GK you can choose some books. I have attached a chart which chart contain the pattern for NDA exam.  NDA I exam date already over, Recently NDA II exam date is announced in UPSC website .I have listed the date details , You can apply here before closing date.
