NDA - NATIONAL DEFENSE ACADEMY This is one of the best and earliest officer entries in the Indian Defense and so its always an awaited examination. Its conducted by the UPSC (Union Public Service Commission) every year twice in the months of April and August for the recruitment purposes in its 3 wings : ARMY NAVY AIR FORCE Educational Qualifications needed for them are :- 1. Unmarried Male Indian 2. Age within 16.5 - 19 years 3. 12th pass from a recognized school or state board. 4. Eligibility Wing wise :- ARMY - Science, Commerce and Arts candidates NAVY - Science ONLY AIR FORCE - Science ONLY. 5. Science means Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as compulsory subjects must have been studied by the candidate in Higher Secondary. 6. Physical and mental fitness. So if you satisfy these, you can apply for the NDA 2013. In general sections the questions will be asked from the following sections:- >>General English. >>Elemetary Mathematics. >>General Knowledge. Total duration for this exam will be 2 hours/paper. Total marks for each paper will be 100 marks. Subjective sections will include questions from :- >>Physics. >>Chemistry. >>Mathematics. All these questions will be from 10+2 science syllabus. Re: What are the subjects which I should read to qualify NDA entrance exam The objective type paper of NDA will have following pattern: -Mathematics ( 300 marks) -General Ability Test ( 600 marks) Mathematics questions will be upto 10+2 level hence you must be prepared for maths if you want to qualify NDA exam. General Ability Section will have questions from following topics: -English -Physics -Chemistry -General Science -History Freedom Movement etc. -Current Events Hence you have to prepare for NDA exam by keeping in mind the above topics then only there will be chance of cracking NDA exam. After cracking objective paper you will be eligible for SSB interview which is of 5 days duration. In these tests you will be given various group tests like group discussions, group planning, outdoor group tasks and lectures on a specified topic. NDA stands for National Defense Academy. Indian army, Indian air force, Naval force etc takes students through it. This is for those who want to do something for their country. NDA entrance exam is a bit tough and you need to prepare well for it. Some of the topics that you need to study for this exam are: Mathematics:
