IES stands for Indian Engineering Service, This Examination is conducted by Union Public Service Commission Eligibility Criteria for IES Examination Candidates must have a B.Tech degree in below mentioned streams from any recognized university ** Electrical Engineering ** Electronics & Communication Engineering ** Civil Engineering ** Mechanical Engineering >> M.Sc degree or equivalent with Wireless Communication, Electronics, Radio Physics or Radio Engineering as a special subject is also acceptable for certain posts. >> Students of final year Engineering or equivalent degree are also eligible >> Candidates age not less than 21 years and not more than 30 years as on August 1st on year of conduct of examination ( upper age limit relaxable for SC/ST/OBC and certain others) >> Candidates should be a citizen of India How To Apply : UPSC applications are available for Rs. 20/- at notified post offices all over the country Rs. 100/- through central Recruitment Fee Stamp only shall be attached. There is a fee exemption for SC/ST/Female/PH candidates. |

Dear Aspirant, As you have mention that you have completed your B.E Electronics then surely you are eligible for applying IES Examination........ IES stands for Indian Engineering Service this Exam is conducted by UPSC every years fro joining Engineering Department in Government Section....... Eligibility and Criteria for IES: A candidate should have completed at least their Graduation Course in Engineering Stream...... Age of Candidate should be between 21 to 30 years........ Age Relaxation: Age Relaxation is available for Reserved category on upper age as per Government Rule......

Re: Am I eligible for IES entrance exam if I am a B.E computer engineering graduate IES - Indian Engineering Service conducted by UPSC once every year for appointment of young engineers in the top technical post under various Dept. under Central Govt. The eligible candidate must be an Indian National having completed B.Tech. Degree in any stream of Engineering from a recognised University within the age of 21 to 30 years with upper age relaxation for reserved candidate. The selection is through written exam followed by personal interview. The candidate has to write the exam in any one of the stream from Electrical/Civil/Mechanical/Electronics & Telecommunication branch. IES Stands for Indian Engineering Service examination and this examination is conducted by Union Public Service Commission Once in a year. The eligible Engineering streams are given below- Civil Engineering Mechanical Engineering Electrical Engineering Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering If you have M.Sc degree in Physics , Radio Physics then you are applicable for IES exam.Final year student also eligible for IES exam . You are from computer science department so you are not eligible for IES Exam . No there is no option to take Electronics subject for IES Exam. The applicant age should between 21 yrs to 30 yrs.Age relaxation is provide for SC/ST/OBC candidate. Number of attempts for IES exam is for general student it is 4., for OBC it is 7 times. and for SC/ST it is 9 time. IES Exam Date:-

Am I eligible for IES entrance exam if I am a B.E computer engineering graduate Sir I want to know whether BE (Computer Engg) graduates are eligible for IES entrance exam?, If so, should they take option of Electroncis and Telecom ? |
