Re: What is the NET entrance exam date? Next UGC-NET exams is on 30th december 2012 last date to apply for this exam is already over. Eligibilty to sit in this exam is Post Graduation Pass with minimum 55% marks for the General and OBC candidates. Minimum 50% marks for the SC/ST candidates. There are 94 subjects in which you can give this exams. Candidates are advised to appear in the subject in which they ahve done their Post Graduation. Next UGC net exams will be held in June 2013 Notification will come out in March 2013 You can vist the UGC website www.ugcnetonline.in |

NET Stands National Eligibility Test NET Exam conducted by UGC twice in a year Important Dates 2012 December : Application submission end date : 16.11.2012 Last date for receiving the documents at the test center : 22.11.2012 Examination date : 30.12.2012 Eligibility : Candidates secured 55% marks in Master Degree or equivalent exam from a recognized University (The SC/ST/PHD candidates 50% aggregate ) Age limit : Junior Research Fellowship : Not more then 28 years Upto 5 years age relaxation for SC/ST/OBC/PHD Candidates Lectureship : There is no upper age limit |

NET Exam Details National Eligibility Test (NET) is conducted by UGC every year in the months of June and December.. A candidate is eligible for appearing for UGC NET Exam only if :- >> The candidate has secured an aggregate of 55% (50% for SC/ST) in post graduation from a recognized institute.. >> The candidate must be less than 28 years of age if applying for JRF.. You will be facing 3 exams :- Paper-1 :- you will have to attempt 60 questions out of 50 in a time span of 75 minutes.. Paper-2 :- you will be facing 50 questions in 75 minutes.. NET stands for National Eligibility Test which is conduct twice time in year by UGC.This test will be conduct for only lectureship , PHD and JRF . Those candidate have completed masters degree with above 55% marks from recognized university are eligible for NET exam. For SC/ST candidate must be hold 50% above in masters degree. For JRF ,The age should be below 28 years and for Lectureship there are no age limit.
