Re: What should I do after failing in IAS exam?

Hello Friend ,

Well if you have failed in one attempt then don't get upset as the exam is

tend to be toughest exam of all , and it is not that easy to crack IAS exam at

once . So if you belong to General Gregory then you have more three

attempts to prove your self the best amongst all , and if you are an SC/ST

category then there is not a problem for you as you have the opportunity to

give exam as many times as you want .... By chance you are fed up giving

exam , then you can go for other exam like NET , or you can go for MBA

course ...

choice is all yours ...

THANK YOU ...

Re: What should I do after failing in IAS exam?

Have you used all the attempts for IAS exam. What I mean is that general students are given 4 attempts to clear Indian Administrative Service Exam, while OBC candidates are given 7 attempts. There is no restriction on number of attempts for SC/ST candidates.

Therefore I hope you have used all the attempts and yet failed to clear the Indian Administrative Service. If you have not used all the attempts then please try again for the exam. This time use the experience of attempting IAS on last ocassion and try your best to clear it.

If you have taken all the attempts then considering the fact that you have completed post graduation, I would say that you should apply for the National Eligibility Test (NET). The National Eligibility Test is for the college lectureship. Only post graduates can apply for it, which makes you eligible. But you will also need to meet the percentage criteria.

Eligibility

1. You should be Indian citizen to attempt NET.

2. Minimum qualification required is post graduation degree from a UGC recognized university.

3. At least 55 percent marks in post graduation.

4. SC/ST candidates need 50 percent marks.

5. Final year post graduation students are also eligible to apply.

6. They should be able to submit their degree within 2 years of attempting NET successfully.

7. Your NET subject should be related to post graduation degree.

Age Limit

1. The age limit for JRF is 28 years.

2. The age limit is relaxed by 3 years for OBC and 5 years for SC/ST.

3. There is no upper age limit for College Lectureship.
